MasterChef Dining & Bar will be held in Singapore from Nov 25 till Dec 9 this year. The debut of this wildly popular pop-up dining in Singapore marks its first stop in Asia.

OCTOBER 2016, SINGAPORE: The upcoming MasterChef Dining & Bar will see three more MasterChef personalities join the amazing line up. They are Audra Morrice [Australia], Luca Manfe [USA] and Woo Wai [Asia].

The trio will be joining Marco Pierre White [UK] – dubbed as the “Godfather of Modern Cooking” and game-changer for British cuisine – and dessert king contestant Reynold Poernorno [Australia].

MasterChef Dining & Bar will be held in Singapore from Nov 25 till Dec 9 this year. The debut of this wildly popular pop-up dining in Singapore marks its first stop in Asia.

The 15 days duration will feature all chefs with the exception that Audra Morrice will be in town from Nov 25 to Dec 3, and Reynold Poernorno from Dec 4 to Dec 9.

Organized by Eternal Shine Group, the format licensors and producers behind the phenomenal MasterChef brand, the signature MasterChef dining experience will come to life at Ash & Elm, located at InterContinental Singapore. InterContinental Singapore is the venue partner of MasterChef Dining & Bar Singapore.

MasterChef is a competitive cooking reality TV show franchise that has grown into a global phenomenon seen in more than 200 territories in 55 Countries including India, China, Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia, UK, US and Vietnam.

The popularity of the series is evident in its record-breaking TV ratings, with more than 300 million viewers worldwide.

CHEFS @ WORK

Upon arrival in Singapore, the chefs will be working in an open kitchen almost everyday, supported by the culinary team from Ash & Elm – official venue of the MasterChef Dining & Bar event – and InterContinental Singapore. Together, as a team, they will prep for the dining pop-up.

Each MasterChef talent has been engaged in the menu development and dishes, working alongside their counterparts around the world to produce a cohesive yet diverse menu. The menu is inspired by the food that was cooked by the chefs on the television programme. Final menus will be announced at a later date.

Together with Marco Pierre White, the MasterChef talents will craft the menu, review the recipes and give feedback on the presentation to ensure that they are representative of their creators ahead of the main dining event.

AUDRA MORRICE | AUSTRALIA

Audra Morrice, best known as a finalist in MasterChef Australia 2012, impressed with her ability to both cook and bake and produced some of the most consistent and amazing dishes on the show. She is also now a judge on MasterChef Asia together alongside three-Michelin-starred chef Bruno Menard and stellar restaurateur Susur Lee. A graduate in Economics and Japanese, Audra left her early career in telecommunications to follow her passion for food. Her cooking style is eclectically Asian, drawing influence from her Chinese Indian heritage.

LUCA MANFE | USA

Hailing from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region in the northeast corner of Italy, Luca’s food is steeped in Italian tradition. From Broccoli Rabe Ravioli in Pecorino Cream Sauce that earned him a spot in the MasterChef Kitchen, to the Basil Panna Cotta that earned him the MasterChef Trophy, Luca tackles everything with determination and charm. Although it took him two tries to get his own white apron, USA Season 4 was Luca’s chance to shine, and by infusing his Italian roots into various MasterChef challenges, Luca earned the title of MasterChef, the Best Home Cook in America.

WOO WAI LEONG | SINGAPORE

Leong as he is affectionately known – won the first ever MasterChef Asia in 2015. He wowed judges with his ‘Chili Crab Pate a Choux Gnocchi’, which fused Asian and Italian cooking styles to present a bold European twist to one of Singapore’s famed dishes. Many in the bar industry were constantly ‘wowed’ by his unique cocktails. Woo, a qualified lawyer, is an experienced bartender who frequently infuses alcohol in his cooking.
