As FUCHSIA’s Fashion Editor, I strongly believe that all women have personality traits that set us apart, making us all different. While societal pressures often push us to fit a certain feminine mould, I believe a woman should be able to be her true self – bold or shy, elegant or spunky, old-fashioned or contemporary, serious or playful, risk-taking or safe, sociable or reserved – every woman should be celebrated as a woman of her own unique substance. And one powerful way to make a statement about who a woman truly is, is to embody her unique personality traits through her fashion sense, her outfits and her appearance. With this in mind, I created a collection which I believe will resonate with all women, because it is inspired by the women around me.
To celebrate a diversity of women, I decided to involve phenomenal talents Meena Bennet, Mrs Singapore 2016, and expat hair-and-makeup-artist Salma Abbas, both mothers-of-two, just like me.
