pineapple tang for pina colada

Tang Pina Colada? Yes, you have read it correctly…

The only Tang flavour I ever bought, other than Orange, is Tropical Fruit. But I can bet you that Pina Colada, when prepared with Pineapple Tang, will make your taste buds tingle with joy, as they say to themselves … Aha! THIS is the real thing – Pina Colada in all its pineapple-coconut glory! This Tang beverage is truly thirst-quenching and fulfilling, as well as super-simple and quick to prepare. The Tang Pina Colada can be made virtually anywhere, anytime. All ingredients are readily available at your local supermarket and the cherry on top – this drink is not seasonal, you can make it any time of the year❤❤❤ … so enjoy!!!

Tang Pina Colada Recipe

(Makes 4-5 glasses)

Ingredients:

1 sachet Tang (pineapple flavour).

1/4 cup sugar.

1 can coconut milk. (I used Hosen).

4 heaped tbsps desiccated coconut.

1 packet cream. (I used Olpers).

1 glass chilled water.

2 glasses ice cubes.

Method:

Blend together Pineapple Tang, sugar and coconut milk, till the sugar dissolves completely. At this point, you can add a tinge of edible yellow colour (this is optional, I did). Then add in the rest of the ingredients and blend for a further minute or two. Pour the drink into glasses and serve immediately. If you want to keep it for later, then store in your freezer, and before serving, give it a final whip in the blender for about ten seconds. And voila! Your Tang Pina Colada is ready.

*serves 4 to 5 people.
