Yes, you have heard it right, there is a new place in the town known as Roti located at Empire Center, Main Boulevard Gulberg, Lahore and it is serving desi food in a contemporary and expedient way.  The food is yummy and delicious cooked in pure desi ghee to remind you of your home-made dishes served with love by your mom. My mother used to extract desi ghee in our home and I can never forget the aroma of desi ghee in parathas and our meals. I experienced the same aroma at Roti since their food is cooked in desi ghee to make you feel like home. The entire menu is quite precise yet economical and the best part is that food is served hot in just five minutes on your table.

The restaurant comes with a simple yet unique idea of serving high-quality food made fresh on daily basis using garden-fresh vegetables and healthy hygiene meat. The restaurant also assures that the left-over food is distributed daily among the poor and needy. The food is served in a traditional way of simple plates and open chapatti plates to make the customers feel at home to enjoy their food. The meals are specially designed with the right amount of spices as well as a balanced quantity of nutrients and fiber. All these qualities are a must for the Punjabis who crave for delicious yet healthy food to meet the required Kcal count per day.

Roti has got a chic ambiance with simple yet modern sitting style with antique and vibrant windows’ designs similar to those in the walled city houses. The main central pillar has got racks full of spices in mason jars with proper names displayed for the visitors to learn about them. Coming to the menu, it is compact and covers different home-made curries including Bhuna gosht, chicken korma, butter chicken, and daal. It has got a special desi aromatic biryani served with palak.

Roti Is Bringing Back The Tarka Of Desi Ghee! There is a special menu for a typical Lahori breakfast comprising of Halwa Puri and parathas. And have designed a funky menu for the kids with names like Mujhe Bhook Nahin Hai and Main Nay Kuch Nahin Khanna. And one big surprise for Lahoris is that they serve Pakola, Shezan Mango, and lemon barley as well. How can I forget to mention that they have got three different types of desserts that include gulab jaman, GUR wale chawal and methi roti. I ordered the warm soft gulab jaman oozing with sugar syrup that just melted in my mouth.
