How it all began
The internet blew up when a wedding invitation mentioning Hamza Ali Abbasi & Naimal Khawar was leaked online last night. Amidst a mixed bag of reactions from fans, there was speculation whether the rumors were true or not.

Vasay Chaudhry, Hamza’s co-star in Jawani Phir Nahin Aani tweeted: “pata he na chalnay diya zalimmm”
Some fans became sleuths on the internet and tried to find what they had in common together. Sammar Amin, a fan, tweeted: “So Hamza & Naimal are both artistic people …”.
Meanwhile, others like Muhammad Ibtesam praised their decency, he tweeted: “A relationship beyond social media. A relationship that does not have to maintain a certain image”.
According to the invite, the Nikkah Ceremony is set to be held on Sunday the 25th of August and the Valima is on Monday the 26th of August.
Luckily, all speculation has been laid to rest as Hamza Ali Abbasi just confirmed his intentions on marrying Naimal Khawar on Twitter & Facebook.

Hamza Ali Abbasi Writes Heartfelt Post
Hamza Ali Abbasi wrote a heartfelt wedding announcement, which might set an example for young adults, that yes, you can actually have feelings for someone and still keep it ‘offline’.
” Your first priority becomes fixing yourself “, states Hamza, and indeed when you are happy with the person you are, only then can you make another happy by becoming a part of their life.
He lays a major emphasis on having faith that Allah has the best in store for everyone and that if your intentions are pure you’ll surely be rewarded.
When your sole reason is to please Allah then Allah makes a man like me, who could never sustain anything emotional with the opposite gender, could never comprehend the idea of marriage in his head, Allah makes that man go up to his very platonic friend for 2 yrs, Naimal and tell her that he doesn’t want a relationship (that GF/BF nonsense) neither is he claiming to be in love with her but he wants to marry her with the intention of strengthening his very turbulent efforts to walk a path which pleases Allah and to my surprise she agrees not just to marry me but also expresses her joy in walking this path with me & now we can’t even breathe without each other.
Hamza Ali Abbasi mentions his journey towards becoming more pious and God-fearing. He mentions death and the Day of Judgement and advises people to be more sincere in their journey towards piety.
So if you too are trying to please Allah by fixing some aspects of your life like controlling your desires, fixing your Ikhlaaq or trying to be regular at your prayers or give more charity, DO NOT GIVE UP! Keep taking your small and often flawed steps towards Allah, unlike people Allah does not expect perfection in your efforts, he only wants sincerity & consistency no matter how many times you fail.
Respecting Their Privacy
Hamza’s wedding announcement has surely highlighted concerns over privacy. Even though he has come out and announced it, it seems that it was done reluctantly so.
These are the questions we need to ask ourselves:
Why couldn’t he have enjoyed this special time in his life privately? Why did someone feel the need to leak his wedding invites?
In his post, he writes, “I planned to say this after the 25th but since the news is already out, so here I go…”.
I think it’s about time we started respecting people’s privacy and boundaries. Yes, the fans are overjoyed but does it come at the cost of making someone else feel uncomfortable?
Are Hamza & Naimal The Next Power Couple?

Naimal Khawar, an NCA graduate and actress, is set to wed activist and actor, Hamza Ali Abbasi, this weekend. With both people having similar priorities and influence over people in Pakistan, are they bound to be the next power couple? Will they be Pakistan’s Anushka & Virat?
Both Naimal & Hamza support PTI and seem to have similar priorities, we can definitely see them becoming more politically and socially active in the future.
Whatever the case, we wish them well on their new journey together!
Can Iqra Aziz & Yasir Hussain Escape The Wrath Of The Desi Aunties?
Areesha Khan harbours a burning passion for writing. This is what she has to say for herself:
I’m your average Pakistani Millennial who loves binge watching trash-TV. When I can, I try to widen my horizons and watch profound works of cinematography as well. In the wild, I can be found sniffing my weathered paperbacks. I regularly obsess over true crime (much to the chagrin of my friends) and love discussing it unprompted. I’m currently working on my undergrad and would love to have a profession in print media.
