This Upcoming drama from HUM TV has already clean bowled rival production houses even before its first episode has aired!
HUM TV has stated that Ehd-e-Wafa will be a “cheerful, romantic, love story”. However, in one of their tweets, they label it as “a story about true friends on their journey of hardships…willing to sacrifice for the country”.
Directed by Saife Hassan and written by Mustafa Afridi, this drama will definitely be one for the books! We at FUCHSIA are already huge fans!
Here are 3 things that stand out in the upcoming drama, Ehd-e-Wafa, that you should definitely watch out for:
1) The Upcoming Drama Cast Has Some Old & New Faces

The cast has to be one of the most diverse casts we’ve seen all year from HUM TV. They’ve brought together actors we’ve never seen perform alongside each other. (But would have loved to).
The four male leads include the very talented (and my favorite), Osman Khalid Butt, Ahad Raza Mir, Ahmed Ali Akber, and newcomer, Wahaj Ali. The female lead we’ve seen so far only includes Alizeh Shah.

However, that’s not all. Zara Noor Abbas will have a role in Ehd-e-Wafa as well! Though she’s not in both of the trailers that have been released so far, HUM TV has tagged her in all of their promotional posts. We at FUCHSIA are huge fans of Zara and we’re so curious to find out what her character will be.
Moroever, Faraz Inam from PTV’s classic drama- Alpha, Bravo, Charlie will be playing a high ranking officer in the drama as well. Vaneeza Ahmed and Hajra Yamin are set to make an appearance in Ehd-e-Wafa too!
2) All The Heartthrobs In One Place

Ehd-e-Wafa has surely delivered on eye-candy! Not that I’m objectifying the men in the cast, but let’s be real, they are all very attractive. However, that’s not the only thing that makes them stand out. They’re all very talented and will surely bring something different for the audiences this time around.
So far the trailer has really emphasized the “male-bonding/friendship” aspect of the show. The four are shown joking around in the corridors and having a good old time at Lawrence College in Murree, where the drama is set. The trailer is very reminiscent of the 90’s hit pop song, Purani jeans aur guitar by Ali Haider and will surely make you miss your college days.
Moreover, we already love Ahad’s and Osman’s one-liners in the trailers, the timimg is perfect! Watching Osman Khalid Butt in his role in Ehd-e-Wafa reminded me why I loved his Youtube skits so much, this is what he does best, taking a role and morphing into it completely.
We can’t wait to see what shenanigans the four will get into and how their friendship will be tested throughout their time together!
3) A Cutesy Romance Between Ahad & Alizeh

This will be the first time we’ll get to see Ahad Raza Mir step out of his typical roles as the brooding hero. The trailer has successfully shown that Ahad Raza Mir can definitely have a playful and jolly presence on camera rather than always being the “bad-boy” male lead.
He’ll be starring alongside Alizeh Shah, who’ll be his love interest. There are some very adorable moments in the trailer where Ahad’s character gets set up by his friends to confess his love for Alizeh. And let’s not forget the hilarious dog-chase scene, where Alizeh gets atop a fountain for fear of dear life! Though clichéd, it does provide for that pivotal moment where she demands why Ahad is following her.
Might that scene unravel to him confessing his love for her? To find out, you’ll have to watch Ehd-e-Wafa on HUM TV, releasing soon.

3 New Pakistani Dramas That You Might Want To Watch – Drama Gup
Cheekh Is Guilty of Cheating its Viewers, and NO – We Won’t Let It Rest!
Areesha Khan harbours a burning passion for writing. This is what she has to say for herself:
I’m your average Pakistani Millennial who loves binge watching trash-TV. When I can, I try to widen my horizons and watch profound works of cinematography as well. In the wild, I can be found sniffing my weathered paperbacks. I regularly obsess over true crime (much to the chagrin of my friends) and love discussing it unprompted. I’m currently working on my undergrad and would love to have a profession in print media.
