PSL Day 1 was a roller coaster of a day, there were many positives lekin negatives bhi thay. People as usual, had a lot to say, and our favorite part of any event, is the full on flood of meme after meme that comes out right after.

We took to Twitter to see what people had to say, and hansi tou ruk hee nahi rahi humari.

Here are some of the tweets that tickled our funny bone, and we wanted to share them with you:

eiffel tower, meme
Opening ceremony tou ufff, aap samajh he gaye houngay
amitabh bachan, meme,, psl
Even Ross and Rachel didn’t take this many breaks..
psl opening ceremony meme
Hum kaafi tang agaye, and apparently we weren’t alone
psl meme
Ooops. It’s okay, apna time ayega!
aima baig, meme
Ariana Grande inspired look? We weren’t impressed
karachi kings, meme
Ab tou Asim Azhar ki jaan chordain!
psl, meme, soldier
This is our favorite tweet, because our army is our strength and we appreciate all the people who are risking their lives for ours. Pakistan Zindabad!

All jokes apart, we are so glad and excited for cricket to be back, the jazba and excitement is through the roof, and why wouldn’t it be? Cricket brings together people from different backgrounds and we can’t help but love it.

The Opening Ceremony might not have hit the right spot – unfortunately, but hopefully the games will deliver some seriously good fun – (and a few more memes won’t hurt either)!

PSL 2020: When Cricket Comes Home, Politics Will Have to Wait!

Mariyam employs writing as a tool to channel negative energy into positivity. “Little did I know I’d start loving it so much!” Says Mariyam. Food and Fitness are my favorite topics and my favorite pastimes too.

I’ve learnt to surround myself with positive energy, that’s the only way to succeed in life. It helped me become an entrepreneur – a life- long dream.  And hopefully it will prove to be fruitful in the future too!
