3 Lawn Ads that made us say – “Wow – This is so Pakistani!“
Summer TauSummer is around the corner and so is lawn season, we’re so excited for the new joras to take over our closets. It’s time to put away the plum and navy colored dresses and bring out the vibrant yellows, pinks, oranges and even pastels.
Pakistan has so many lawn brands and unkiay ads dekh kar humara dil kabhi nahi bharta, but this time around, we came across 3 brands whose ad campaigns stood out. Why? Because they captured the essence of Pakistan in some way or the other and we just had to share them with you
1. Gul Ahmed
This ad made us feel all the feels. Cricket se nahi, tou iss ad ko dekhne ke baad jazba jag hee jayega aapka. The campaign is hash-tagged very aptly #PakistanKiPehchan, once you watch the advert, you’ll know why! The aesthetics, and the music all come together so beautifully, that we’re lost for words! You should see so yourself!
What we absolutely loved? The vocals totally blew us away!
2. Muzlin by Sana Safinaz
A Pakistani song featured in a lawn ad? This is a first for us. Humne kabhi socha nahi aisay houga, but the marketing world is full of endless possibilities right? This ad made us feel proud and also to want to get up and practice those dance moves with our friends, or maybe take a day off and hit the beach. Watch it below!
What we absolutely loved? The song, the song of course – we’re moving to the beat right now, oh, and the return of the wavy hairdo – lovin’ it!
3. Asim Jofa
This one’s a little (Read: very) different. It may not be the best ad out there, but we love how breathtaking the old buildings of Pakistan look, not to mention that the ad highlights how much of a festive nation we are because naach gaana tou zaruri hai!
What we absolutely loved? Asim Azhar’s Ajrak waist coat – yes, we did! Guys go ahead and follow the style coz we think it rocks the desi look!
These were some of the ads from the top lawn brands that we really liked, and we will definitely be hitting their retail outlets soon. Are there any ads you really liked? Or perhaps any lawn collections you think we should check out? Let us know in the comments below!
