Ayesha is the mini web series you might have missed – binge watch it now, it’s a speedy watch!

; Tau tum pooray din ghar mein karti hi kya ho?’ Sound familiar?

Ayesha – If you liked Momina in Alif and Dua in Ehdewafa, perhaps Ayesha is for you.

Ayesha is the mini web series that gives you a peek into the ordinary lives of Ayesha, Fahad & Ali.

‘Mama has become very boring’. ‘… Tau tum pooray din ghar mein karti hi kya ho?’ Sound familiar?

Ayesha is every woman – the character is played with great presence by Yasra Rizvi, with equally sound supporting performances from Sarmad Khoosat and child star Shees Gul!

Why should you watch this mini series?

1. Because it tells the story of many young couples

who are stuck in a rut – of ‘marriage, child, home and the fun life’s over after that’

Ayesha – The story of a young married couple stuck in a rut

2. Because it might make women take a glance in the mirror

and assess what needs to change and what doesn’t – the men in our lives might call us boring – but have we really become that boring?

3. Because it’s a speedy watch

Ayesha is a 6 Episode mini series. Each episode flies by, yet delivers a message and moves the story ahead. You’ll want to know what happens next?

4. Because the cast delivers a praiseworthy performance

The dialogues are very credible, almost as if you or someone you know could have uttered them.

5. Because the drama renders a ‘real life feel’

that is instantly believable. You will connect with the inner rage, the helplessness, the passion and the hope that is Ayesha – her struggles reflect the woman of today – are you one of them?

Downside: the final episode was tied up a bit too swiftly … all loose ends were wrapped up a bit too perfectly, defeating the ‘real life’ feel the drama delivered in the first 5 episodes.

Verdict: Watch this one because there’s still a lot going for it!

She is mother to 3 lively boys and along with her husband, attempts to settle in her new country by taking German lessons so she is able to soak in the culture, language and spirit of the region.
