Your quarantine-pocket friendly salon guide to ensure your hygiene!

While you continue to stay indoors as Eid nears-by, you must be thinking of ways to take self-care at home. No, you don’t need to spend bucks; if you are ready to do some effort, then this at-home meni-pedi hack will save you from the usual salon visits. It is as effective as the fancy products used by your Parlor walli aunti and uncle! Yes, hygiene is gender-neutral, and this guide is as beneficial for boys as it is for girls.

5 steps to follow on hands and feet

ALWAYS START BY WASHING YOUR HANDS!

Step 1:  Shape the nails

First of all, use a nail polish remover to clean any dirt or nail paint resting on the nail. Right after that, cut your nail, or file them to perfection as you like! Don’t forget to buff your nails to get rid of any residue and to create a smooth surface, balancing the natural oils.

Step 2: Soak

Add Salt, 2 to 3 drops of essential oil and shampoo or antibacterial soap to the tub in the luke-warm water. Dip your hands and feet, and relax for as long as you want, I would suggest 5-10 mins.

Step 3: Time to use the Scrub!

Either you use the body scrub or DIY homemade scrub, make sure to exfoliate hands and feet for at least 5 mins in circular motions. Dip it again in the water for 5 mins and after that pat them dry with a towel. Use a pumice stone to scrub your feet, it will buff your heels and make them silky smooth.

Step 4: The final Wash

Put them again in water for 2 to 3 mins and wash off all the residue. Pat them dry with a towel and relax leaving them to air dry to 2 mins. Apply a moisturizer right after that.

Step 5: Pamper your nails

Show some creativity or give some color to nails as you wish! Half dipped nails are easiest to recreate and the coolest trend this summer!

Stay home and stay healthy, Mani and Pedis should become the part of your routine now that they can easily be done at home instead of rushing to a salon every time!
