Will Prem Gali Take Over Our Prime Time?
ARY has stirred a whirlwind of conversations and anticipation amongst viewers after releasing two teasers of their upcoming comedic drama serial, Prem Gali. With a cast and crew including some of the most renowned individuals of the Pakistani drama industry, people have already been vocal about their high expectations. The love story starring Hamza (Farhan Saeed) and Joya (Sohai Ali Abro) is written by Faiza Iftikhar (who also composed the masterpiece Ranjha Ranjha Karde) and directed by none other than Qasim Ali Mureed.

Prem Gali seems to be set in a typical, bustling gali with a muhalla consisting of people from various backgrounds.
While primarily focusing on the lighthearted romance of Hamza and Joya, the narrative hopes to shed some light on important social issues, such as catcalling, that exist in our society. Furthermore, Iftikhar seems to have tied together an enthralling story revolving around the importance of family and love as well as both youth and innocence. To witness a more cheerful and playful drama after the melancholic woes that have dominated our Pakistani industry now appears to be a dreamlike reality and definitely a fresh breath of air!

To increase the fans’ exhilaration, Qasim Ali Mureed confirmed that Prem Gali is indeed an extension of the blockbuster drama serial, Aangan.
“Aangan was based within the confines of a household while Prem Gali revolves around a community where people are very close-knit. They live like a family and stick to each other through thick and thin.”

A Colorful Cast With An Even More Colorful Plot!
The teaser commences with an OST, Prem Gali Mein Tumhara Intezar Hai, sung by lead actor Farhan Saeed who successfully continues to charm the audience after his heart winning performance in Sono Chanda. His filmy dialogues and frisky appearance in the teaser for Prem Gali look quite promising. Sohai Ali Abro also bagged an award for her stellar work in Motorcycle Girl.
Now, we can’t wait to see their chemistry in Prem Gali on screen! Other members of the cast include Saba Hameed, Javed Sheikh, Qavi Khan, Wasim Abbas, Uzma Hassan, Anoushey Abbasi, Shamim Hilali, Farah Shah and Abdullah Farhat Ullah. While a fixed date has not been released yet, it is rumored that the serial will air later this month. We can only hope that the episodes keep us hooked just like the teasers did!
Go on and watch the teasers, we promise you’ll be hooked, even before the first episode hits screens! The question is, not whether you’ll watch it or not, rather, which drama will you drop to slip into the ‘happily, happening’ world of Prem Gali!
This review is making me want to watch the drama now! Lovely❤️
