Five Turkish Dramas That You Must Watch

If you are tired of watching Pakistani dramas on repeat casting similar faces every now and then, and you don’t mind a bit of change, then Turkish Dramas are definitely the go-to series on screen.

Ever since Ertugrul has aired on PTV, it has captivated the hearts of several Pakistanis with its fascinating plot and charming actors. In Pakistan, Turkish dramas have gained significant popularity, and dubbed in Urdu, you can easily watch them on channels like Urdu 1, Drama Central.

Today, we bring you five Turkish dramas that you must watch. No, we have not added Ertugrul in the list because you must already be aware of it.

Fatima-Gul

Starring Beren Saat, this is a story about a rape survivor who was gang raped before her wedding. The innocent, yet a bold girl fights for her justice against the rich and powerful. Filled with romance, deceit, mystery and thrill, this drama revolves around the story of two strangers who have lost their beloveds in a murder case and are in search of truth. Will they be successful in finding the murderer? Watch the drama and get rid off the curiosity.

Pyaar Lafzon Mein Kahan

Pyar Lafzon mein Kahan

A romantic tale of two lovers that starts with the woman hiding her actual identity from her boss (her to-be love of life), this drama will keep you etched to your seat. You will continue to wonder if Hayaat and Muraad’s relationship will ever find a peaceful union, or will their enemies overshadow their bond.

Elif

Elif -

This is a heart touching story of a seven year old girl who is separated from her mother by her step-father who wishes to sell Elif in exchange of debt-relief. Throughout its 5 seasons, you will see Elif caught in the rift of family dynamics not knowing who her biological father is.

Hamari Kahani

An adoption of UK original series, Shameless, Hamari Kahani is a story of a young girl who has to look after her five younger siblings in a poor household while her father continues to be an alcoholic. She believes that there is no place of love in her life until she falls in love with a young man, but their love story must go under various challenges.
