As the Test Series draws to an end and we look ahead at the T20s, let’s take stock of what transpired on the field!

Pakistan vs England 2020

Summing up the Pakistani players individual performances:

Babar Azam

Finished with an average of 48+ in the tour but honestly a big three figure score was required from him which he unfortunately couldn’t deliver! He was par average in this tour considering what he could have actually achieved! 7/10.

Asad Shafiq

He had even a lower batting average than Yasir Shah this tour! I think he cannot be pushed further with this Test Team when batsmen like Haris Sohail and Imam ul Haq are there!

Usman Salahuddin really deserves a chance instead of Asad!

Shadab

Considering his newly invented batting talent can also replace him permanently for good! Asad should go back to domestic now to regain his form otherwise he is done and dusted for his international career!

Giving him 1 for that score of 29 in 2nd innings! 1/10.

Shan Masood

needs to be consistent. It’ll be good for him and also for Team Pakistan if he shows some responsibility! 5/10

Yasir Shah

had on average, a positive tour as he was literally the most lethal bowler of the team! Played some good knocks as well with the bat!
7/10.

Rizwan

was the only good thing that happened in this tour! Great with the bat! Excellent with the gloves! 9/10.

Abid Ali

makes me question: Is he better than Imam Ul Haq? For me, not so! I think he needs to work on his footwork, Abid Ali played 1 or 2 steady innings but could have performed more! He could have been the hero for Pakistan in the 1st test, second innings when he was playing well, but then he threw away his wicket! His could have been a series winning innings for Pak! 4/10.

Naseem Shah

Naseem Shah

is great talent! Not up to the mark presently at least, in the test arena! He had two overseas tours! Pakistan were smashed with 300+ and a 200+ scores in the space of 5 Test Matches by respective batsmen of opposing sides! He has all the pace but not the right mind presently.

Note to PCB: Please groom him, but don’t destroy him! He will not be my first choice for NZ tests! 3/10

Shaheen Shah

excellent with the first new ball! But fails to find his rhythm after that!
4/10.

Fawad Alam

should be given a fair chance before dropping him! It’s not possible to judge him based only on the two innings he batted in!
4/10.

Azhar Ali

Shukar he performed and saved us a Test Match! I hope he follows up on it!
6/10

Shadab Khan

was great with the bat, couldn’t get a proper chance with the ball! But I think he still needs to work on his bowling tin order o cement his place in the team permanently! 6/10

Abbas

was the best bowler of this current team! I hope he continues with this form! Alas couldn’t get rewards for his excellent bowling!
8/10
