“Dil sai achi feeling hoti hai..jab hum logon ki help karte hain (jese aaj besides rain) aur wo humain duwain detain hain.”

Every year, the people of Karachi impatiently anticipate even a few inches of rain in July and August. They enjoy a plate of scrumptious pakoras and chai by the blooming flowers. This aroma of fresh soil and pure water fills the air and their hearts. However, this year was rather different. A certain chaos arose as the city collapsed: trees and polls fell, rainwater and sewage accumulated on the streets. Nevertheless, our foodpanda riders were quick to courageously save the day with their selfless, philanthropic actions.

foodpanda riders not only bring a smile to our faces by delivering warm food to our doorsteps, but also, by going an extra mile to help those in need.

A woman who was struggling to cross the flooded road in North Karachi caught the attention of the riders. Without any hesitation, they approached and helped her, leaving the woman speechless. The riders exclaimed that their own bags and bikes too were completely drenched and battered at the time.  Furthermore, the boys were also of assistance to a driver whose van was stuck amidst the craters on the road. The water levels were exceptionally high, making the process quite nerve-wracking!

A video of the two incidents surfaced online and gathered over 3000 shares in the span of three days. (You can view the video below)

Upon this, foodpanda informed the citizens of their vision to provide the optimum service to all their stakeholders.

In addition, as a gesture of thanks and gratitude, foodpanda Pakistan invited all riders involved to their Headquarters. The members were not only greatly appreciated for their efforts but also awarded with certificates and gift hampers.

Through this event, foodpanda hopes to raise awareness regarding the importance of spreading kindness without compromising one’s own safety.

We hope you understand that not all heroes wear capes. This way, you can become a hero too! Do a good deed today without expecting a reward and see how you’ll shine with this feeling of contentment.
