City of lights turned into City of darkness!

The disastrous rain impacted the power supply of the entire city. Karachi plunged into darkness. The electricity supply remained disconnected in many areas for over 48 hours.

Citizens forced to abandon their homes in heavy rain!

Urban flooding took over the entire Karachi. Homes of thousands were under water causing damage to infrastructures and vehicles. The sewage lines overflowed and water seeped inside homes. This also deprived citizens from clean water consumption. The entire city is under stress and sadness as thousands have to bear a heavy cost of mental and physical trauma caused by rain and flooding.

Karachi’s resilient Spirit took over as usual. Rescue teams and citizens joined hands to help families!

The heavy rainfall made Pakistan Army, rangers and police intervened, conducting rescue operations in entire City. Many NGO’s and local citizens opened gates of their homes, restaurants and institutes to welcome citizens who were stuck in rain. The disastrous rain proved the entire Nation of the humanity and brotherhood Karachites posses for locals.

However, others feel it’s unfair to always expect Karachiites to stay relient and steadfast in the face of all obstacles.

I don’t want to be “resilient”, I want good governance. #KarachiRains #KarachiFlooded

The prime minister has taken note of the deteriorating situation.

The whole nation feels the pain our people in Karachi are going through. However, out of this devastation & suffering there is now a positive development as my govt, along with the Sindh govt, is moving to immediately act & resolve 3 major problems of Karachi:
