Indian shows all around the world are produced with several hidden purposes. They are kept on the boards during the production phases by the makers. Most of the time they are supposed to influence people in different ways. Sometimes, social causes are raised through them.
A lot of times they become a medium of expression for many artists. But after all, when it goes to the audiences, it completely becomes their. Then, powerful storytelling is the only way which preserves its impact and works effectively. But still, people take it according to their own sensibilities, and mindsets.
Indian Shows has also proved to us many times how strong their storytelling power is!
They tell a story by keeping it a part of a never ending script. They make the viewers feel themselves as a part of the story they are watching. The makers raise different social issues through their soap serials by adding typical family drama elements in it to make it realistic. In a fictionally executed way. Most of the times…they serve every kind of story by showing it as a Love Story. Well…after some time they make it a 12 Masaaloun Ki Chaat. But as long as it works for them impactfully, hence, it’s completely alright.
Right now… there’s a lot of high-voltage drama happening in the Indian Shows! Have a look!
Who is unaware of Saath Nibhana Saathiya right now? A show which became the talk of the town with just a meme (Akhir Rosoday me kon tha? we still don’t have that answer though!) Makers and Channel decided to bring it back to the audiences with it’s sequel! (considering it to be the perfect timing to do so).
One of the actresses Rupal Patel aka (KokilaBen) who is currently a part of a successful and popular show Yeh Rishtay Hain Pyaar Kay (a spin-off of one of the longest running Indian Shows (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai). When asked to reprise the same character in the second season of the series, she agreed!…but with a much confusing state of mind.
‘I could not sleep the whole night...when the makers of Saathiya approached me to do the character of Kokila Modi again‘
Explaining her state of mind, the actress included:
“I prefer doing one show at a time”Rupal Patel
She was later assured by the makers of both the shows that they will manage her time table. Also, she will be able to handle both the shows at the same time.
But when the strategy of managing her time table by the makers came out in front of the audiences, there happened an explosion of people opposing it.
The producer of the popular show ‘Yeh Rishtay Hain Pyaar Kay‘ decided to wrap the show. He announced the news by telling the reason behind the decision to be ‘low trps‘. This news shook the entire audience of the soap serial and they went enraged. There was a storm of hashtags on twitter and instagram all over the world.
Storm of hashtags on Twitter & Instagram all over the world!
#GiveYRHPKExtension and #StarPlusTreatYRHPKEqually was trending in Indian for more than 48 hours.
Fans were continuously trying to make the makers realise that these are the viewers themselves, who make a show successful. They still have the power to do so.
Not only this, the people also started bashing the upcoming season of the popular series! by considering it to be the actual reason for ending the other show ( didn’t think that, did you?)
Still…people are trying their best to make the producers realize that ending one of the popular shows does not make sense! even if the reason is that they want to introduce a fresh story on the slots! (crazy fans! we know!)
But nonetheless, only the authorities know what is the actual reason behind this big decision. It’s nice to see that the television is in such discussions in India, and people take it seriously.
