Craving a Desi Love Story? We Might Have One For You!

Ever fallen madly in love? When nothing else mattered except the face of your beloved? When you saw him/her everywhere you went, because, your mind was playing love tricks on your eyes .. .and all the reality in the world fell apart when you were together? Oh well, you can enjoy more of the same, but this time, in a novel – so get ready to fall in love!

The novel “Undying Affinity” was originally published back in 2014. It was the first-ever book published by the author ‘Sara Naveed’. Undying Affinity sets out to embrace you with a beautiful love story between a student (Zarish Munawar) and her professor (Ahmar Murad).

“Everything is a part of destiny’s plan and I believe true love awaits its destiny.”

-Zarish from undying Affinity

Zarish Munawar is a spoilt brat and only daughter of a rich, elitist family living in Lahore. Zarish was born with a silver spoon in her mouth – sort of – she instantly gets what her heart desires, lives like a princess, and is being bought up by her parents in practical ‘royalty’. She is extremely beautiful and high maintenance but she is ignorant towards the world of the opposite sex – namely, boys and their feelings towards her. Like in every love story, a princess must find a prince.

“There is nothing right or wrong in love. Where there is love, then there is nothing but only love.”

-Ahmer from Undying Affinity.

Ahmar Murad is a young and charming professor at Zarish’s University, and also the prince of our desi love story. He is intelligent, goal-orientated and a self-made man who respects everyone and acts sensibly in every situation. Moreover, he is a very polite and introverted human – also an ideal guy for every girl in our society, right?

“True love never dies. It might vanish, but it will always find its way back.”

Sara Naveed, Undying Affinity

The story initially takes off slowly but then builds up a fast pace and with intriguing curiosity. It’s just impossible to put the book down even for a minute. The passion between Zarish and Ahmar grows steadily as Zarish makes every effort to win Ahmer’s heart – makes you think how women can fall in love so selflessly and passionately. Moreover, Ahmer never fails to show exemplary wisdom, despite loving Zarish intensely and staying loyal to her forever.

Personal favorite

Undying Affinity – the Desi Romance we’re loving!

This novel has become one of my all-time favorites even though it was the author’s first-ever book. Although the book allows me to experience a smogasbord of emotions – romance, drama, and tragedy similar to the books I have been reading written by a very renowned author Colleen Hoover, there is something more in hidden this story. I honestly loved the pace across the book, the slow-paced romance keeps one’s heart asking for for more. I love the way the story components balance from the onset till the very end – it is an intrinsically satisfying and fulfilling love story in its entirety. Moreover, the story connects with young desi readers – exchanging messages on Facebook, phone calls, office scenes, locking eyes whenever they see each other in the university, driving the girl back to her place, and most importantly, the intimate scenes are so heart-touching for the readers.

About the author

Sara Naveed is a graduate of Lahore University of Management and Technology (UMT). Sara, despite hailing from a business background has left a mark of excellence on her readers in such a short span of time. She has written four novels in total each one of them is a charm on its own because Sara knows how to steal the show.
