Fitoor starts this week and we’re not sure if the teasers have revealed more than they should – we spot a StarPlus revival and we hope we’re wrong!
Is it a Love Story, or a saga of betrayal and revenge? Guess we’ll have to wait and watch, hoping the drama promises as much as the power-packed cast of Faysal Quraishi & Wahaj Ali!

Fitoor – A Project by 7th Sky Entertainment, spearheaded by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, is a renowned name in Pakistan’s media industry. It is now bringing forth another story of fate and love starring an ensemble cast in the lead.
‘Fitoor’- A story of love that transcends above all!
The teasers reveal a hapless union between a couple who have their hearts elsewhere. Oh well, what else is new in Pakistani dramas, you ask? We’re hoping that Faysal Quraishi, who packs a punch with his mere presence on screen (still rolling out an impactful performance as Saad in Log Kya Kahenge) and Wahaj Ali (charming us as Riz in Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat and Ahad in Bikhre Moti) will be enough to woo audiences. And if not, there’s always Zanjabeel Asim Shah’s script (we still swoon over Pyar Ke Sadqay) to carry it through.
The question is, with hugely successful projects behind them can the stars deliver on teasers that look increasingly StarPlus-ish at first look!
The story as we know it…
Making one forget about their past & become short-sighted about their future. It revolves around a young architect named Saif, and a beautiful, young girl named Dilnasheen. Saif, despite being successful in his field, feels as if he lacks something as he lives on with memories of his past love. Dilnasheen, who hails from a middle-class family, is in love with her best friend’s brother, Hamza. When Saif and Dilnasheen cross paths, Dilnasheen’s life takes an unexpected turn. The question arises whether both will be able to overlook their past, and settle down peacefully in the present.
This saga of love and fate is directed by Siraj ul Haq, of ‘Ramz e Ishq‘ and ‘Raaz e Ulfat’ fame; two of 7th Sky Entertainment’s biggest hits. It’s penned down by Zanjabeel Asim, and produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. The drama is expected to hit up on the charts. It stars Hiba Bukhari, Faysal Quraishi, Kiran Haq and Wahaj Ali in the lead.
The projected will be screened on HarPal Geo, going on air from January 14th. 2021. The season has some fantastic new season drama reveals and we hope Fitoor can carve a place for itself in an entertainment mixed plate offering that’s getting increasingly hard to squeeze into – muqabla sakht hai is perhaps, an understatement this year!
