The much-awaited Zara Noor Abbas-Sami Khan drama Phaans is coming up soon – get the inside here! Phaans is an upcoming HUM TV drama. Its first episode will be aired on 20 February 2021. It is produced by Momina Duraid who is known to have has produced many successful dramas for HUM TV. Phaans is directed by Ahmed Kamran and is written by Samina Ejaz.

The teasers seem to promise thrill, mystery, romance and (hopefully), some above-par performances. Here are reasons to watch on next Saturday.

1. Dazzling cast

Phaans is giving us a cast to be reckoned with: Zara Noor Abbas as Zeba, Shehzad Sheikh, and Sami Khan. In the supporting cast we have Yashma Gill, Arjumand Rahim, Kinza Malik, and Ali Tahir. The audience is cheering once again to see Zara Noor Abbas after Zebaish & Ehd-e-Wafa.

Sami Khan, who is also palying as Mikaal currently in Dulhan & Asfandyar in Saraab, will be starring in Phaans.

We will also be seeing Shehzad Sheikh in a new avatar. He will be playing a mentally challenged character – a once-in-a-lifetime role indeed.

Shahzad Sheikh delivered a noteworthy performance in recently concluded drama Raaz-e-Ulfat. The actor posted on instagram:

Phaans had initially slated to be named Badzaat but later, the drama name was changed to Phaans. The drama also casts Yashma Gill, seen earlier in Pyar Ke Sadqay, and Arjumand Rahim – a seasoned stage actor and recently seen in Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat where she packed quite a punch with her brief, yet impactful performance.

2. Social issue based drama

Continuing with past & present efforts, such as Ishq -e- Zah-e-Naseeb, Udaari, Saraab & Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, HUM TV is bringing yet another drama that tackles sensitive social issues of mental health and sexual assault. The narrative touches upon the story of a rape survivor in addition to those afflicted by mental health.

3. It’s a Momina Duraid Production

The drama will be produced by none other than Momina Duraid who has produced iconic Pakistani dramas like Dastaan, Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and more recently, Udaari, Yakeen Ka Safar, and Ehd e Wafa.

As always, our expectations soar high when the team behind a project has delivered quality – we’re hoping for nothing less this time round and looking forward to another hit series by her!

What to expect?

Phaans drama seems to have a promising teasers. We have high hopes from the narrative and the team involved could make it a mega-watch. Phaans will be replacing prime time watch Mushk on Saturday evenings, but can it match up to it?

3 Reasons Say Why Not – Give it a shot!

Catch up on the teasers if you haven’t already.
