Here’s our round up of the actors who gave us noteworthy performances that left us hmmm … kinda speechless!
Bilal Abbas for Dunk
Mind-blowing portrayal of the silent but deeply disturbed Haider. We feel for him that he has too keep a dark secret to himself and as much as he wants to, can’t tell his family why he can’t marry Amal. Haider is replaying events in his mind, extreme tension written all over his face; and Bilal Abbas has managed to convey the dilemma aptly, opening a window into Haider’s mind for us, the viewers – well done there!
And, of course we can’t wait to see what he’ll do next!
Shahood Alvi for Dunk
The badqismat father who’s left helpless. Having to face his brother, maafi maangna and disowning Haider gave us chills. We could feel his anger, frustration and helplessness – The father of the bride indeed, feeling betrayed, ashamed and letdown all at once!
Sana Javed for Dunk
She spoke only with her face & her eyes. Regardless of our feelings towards Amal, Sana Javed made us feel for the last-minute abandoned bride. Her expressions as she looked towards Haider, her initial state of denial and later shock, tugged at our heart strings (despite us not wanting to).
Maya Ali for Pehli Si Mohabbat
Maya Ali as Rakshi made our hearts flutter with the shyness & intoxication of new love. The scene where they hold hands on the rooftop stood out particularly, her expressions were so on-point, made us forget about Saniya (her last character) in Parey Hut Love, and totally fall for Rakshi. When real talent surfaces, the actor slips into his/her new role with complete believability, embracing the new character (and the audience) with both arms – and Maya has done that with Rakshi!
But how will it go for her? Guess we’ll have to find out!
Feroze Khan for Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3
Aba sey jhoot, doston kay saath cool dude – Feroze Khan was so convincing as Farhad A.K.A. Feedi. We loved his presence onscreen after Ishqiya, truly a power packed performance.
From Farhad bunking exams (not cool by the way), to sneaking out for cheat sheets at night and his ‘talo yahan se’ to his neighbor, we doted on every scene!
Imran Ashraf for Mushk
Adam as the pyar mein dooba huwa aashiq at the train station won our hearts.
As Mushk came to an end, we bid goodbye to our favorite hero Adam. From the very first episode to the last, Imran Ashraf nailed every scene!
Saving Shayan, finding Guddi, taking down Taya, he’s really been through a lot! But we’re so happy he bid goodbye with a smile!
