Of late, we had started dreading the onset of Fashion Weeks but FPWSS2021 was a refreshing & delightful experience. Here’s why Fashion Week Pakistan 2021 left us impressed!

1. On Time!
Good time Management. The show ended at an appropriate time without becoming unnecessarily stretched or too short in duration.
Being Pakistanis, most of us can relate to events extending much beyond the stipulated time but trust us, this one was wrapped up on time – a rare yet positive example for other show organizers to follow suit!
2. The Limited Number Of Designs In Each Collection
This allowed focus on a single designer’s collection, rather than flitting through multiple outfits in the blink of an eye.
Quality vs Quantity was the mantra.

The chosen designers such as Sana Abbas, Maheen Khan, Zaahviay, Gogi by Hassan, Delphy by Nida Tapal, Sameer Sain among many more, charmed the crowd with their well-crafted collections.
3. Good Selection Pool
The ‘Designers Pick’ was carefully curated, and most collections stood out.
The colors, designs, patterns sent out a refreshing experience and reminded us that while the whole world was in lock down, fashion masterminds were busy at work!
4. SOPS
Conducting an annual event for a fairly large audience and taking precautions can be both risky as well as demand the utmost responsibility. The FPW management scored on both factors & made sure all Coronavirus SOPS were followed & the invite list was limited in numbers. So kudos to the management!
5. Ambience
The choreography was simple yet elegant. The ramp layout was refreshing & along with the lighting, emitted a soothing, dreamy effect.
The entire affair came together to deliver a pleasant experience on the senses, and although the magnificence of fireworks & accompanying fancy stunts was missing, a live band in attendance added to the charm.
6. A break from the usual
This time, only a few collections flaunted celebrities as showstoppers. This was a welcome change as it kept the Fashion Week from being over-shadowed by star power, keeping the focus on Designs & Styles.

The FPW gave us a gentle, yet ‘stylish’ hint that the fashion game will surely level up in Spring/Summer ’21!
