Atif Aslam – A Rolemodel For Every Generation

Which Atif Aslam song is your all time favourite?

There is only one legend who continues to bring happiness, energy and fun in our lives since our early teens & still going strong now! Yes, you’re right, our very own, very versatile – Atif Aslam. Oh, can you remember jamming on the song Hum Kis Galli Jaa Rehe Hain? Soon after New Year, Atif did a post-COVID concert in Dubai and mesmerised the crowd with his magical vocals, we’re so jealous!

Let’s revisit some of those memories and enjoy this playlist I compiled for you below and … well, sing along!

1. Jhula Jhulaye

‘Aoo Le Ker Chalo Tumko, Bachpan Ki Unh Gallio mein, Jahan Rang Hain, Yaar Hain, Fursat hai, Shayad Isme Kahin Tumko Tum Milo, Chalo Kahun Tumse Main Meri Kahaani’

Atif Aslam in Jhula Jhulaye

Did your heart beat just a bit faster on every lyric? Same! It has been THIR-TEEN years to this song and it still melts so many hearts! We will never get tired of listening, right? Next time, challenge a friend to sing along without missing a single word!

2. Jal Pari

‘So Jaane Do, Chupp jaane Do, Lehron Mein Kahin Doob Jaane Do, Shor Na Karo Yaaron, Aankh Hai Laggi, Behel Jaane Do Yaar, Jall Mein Kahi’

Atif Aslam in Jal Pari

We all admit Atif Aslam is a huge part of our early teens, but so is Coke Studio! This song of Atif Aslam will always be loved by the nation, hands down yes!

3. Hum Kis Galli Jaa Rehe Hain

Oh my goodness, this song gives goosebumps always! It does not matter where in the world we are, this rocking song will always be on our playlist – a complete package of happiness, friendship and love in one box.

Good to know: Did you know, you can rock your chores with this song playing in the background? Azmaa ker dekh lein!

4. Bakhuda Tumhi Ho

Atif Aslam enjoys a huge fanbase in India and people across the border love him dearly! Atif Sahib has sung a lifetime worth of songs for Bollywood movies making us escape from reality and land in a fantasy world. This song from the film Kismat Konnection is a perfect throwback to times of love and affection!

5. Hona Tha Pyaar, Huaa Mere Yaar!

Who remembers Atif’s first appearance on the TV screen as an actor opposite queen Mahira Khan? In the film, Atif gifted us this song alongside Hadiqa Kiani & it has endeared him to his fans, both young & old. Listen to it on repeat!

6. Tu Jaane Na

With over 161.000.000 views on YouTube, this song from the Bollywood film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani shattered our heart into a thousand pieces, can you ever get enough of it? ‘Kaise Batayein Kyoo Tujhko Chaahe, Yaara Bata Naa Paaye’, will forever touch a fragile nerve.

7. Tajdar-e-Haram

Previously dropped a number on you – Tu Jaane Na’s 161.000.000 YouTube views, but the enchanting Coke Studio Hamd Tajdar-e-Haram has over 120.000.000 views and we couldn’t be any more proud of Atif Sahib! From synchronizing with top-notch instruments to every single note, Atif hits it right! To be able to come back with an ever popular, epic Sabri Qawal Tajdar e Haram & pitch it to the millenials in a remix was risque indeed – but the soul won & the passion shone through!

When this Hamd released, Atif Aslam spoke about how proud he was when he saw the youth listening to this Hamd. Good to go, Atif jee! Since Ramazan is approaching fast, we thought why not already put this on our list? A true rolemodel for millennials among us!

7. Noor-E-Azal

Another one to totally win our hearts! Can we stop Atif-raving – just yet? Not quite. The blended vocals from two living legends Atif Aslam and Abida Parveen jee, together? Do we even need anything more! This peaceful hamd is a great starter to the upcoming month of Ramazan.

We hope these songs seriously bought back some great memories for you! Let us know in comments which Atif Aslam song or hamd you have been listening to?
