Hum TV’s Ramzan Play Serving Cute Romance, Adorable Chemistries, And The Right Family Comedy Is A Treat To All The Seasoned Pakistani Drama Fans!

After enjoying Suno Chanda for two consecutive Ramzans, fans were in hopes of getting a third installment of the series which could teleport them all the way back into the lives of Arsal & Ajiya again. But sadly, Saima Akram Chaudhry, the genius writer of the popular franchise officially announced a The End to the series. While this announcement left Ajiya fans heartbroken, Saima Ji assured to compensate them with two Ramzan Plays this year, filled with the emotional family bonding, and sprinkled with the essence of love, that we all yearn!
One of the most anticipated one, Chupke Chupke featuring Ayeza Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Arsalan Naseer, and Aymen Saleem, knocked on our doors right from the Chaand Raat of Ramzan and promised to engage us for the next 30 evenings with an irresistible storyline and super enjoyable execution.
But
What’s all the rave really about? What really made this show a ‘Must Watch’?
1. Casting, Casting, Casting!
The makers of Chupke Chupke undoubtedly landed the best-fit for the characters penned down by Saima Akram Chaudhry. But here if you see the genres these actors have been working on before Chupke Chupke, you would applaud their total transformation into breakout characters. Here, we can mention director Danish Nawaz to have pulled together a winning combination on set and behind the scenes! No doubt direction was key in what we see onscreen!

Ayeza Khan who was last seen struggling with a failed marriage and fighting against Zaalim Samaaj in Meherposh, and as an extremely typical Roti Dhoti Heroine earlier in Thora Sa Haq is now so convincingly portraying Meenu, the clumsy, bubbly, and chirpy girl. And Osman Khalid Butt after playing the young carefree Malik Shahzain is cast as a sophisticated tutor. Mira Sethi’s switch from Aagha Jan’s wife to the conniving Gul Aapa is amazing. Also Ali Safina, portrayed as a feudal antagonist in Qaraar is acing the role as Miskeen Bhai here. Hence, the actors have done their job, and beautifully, evading type-casting and stepping into new shoes, making us totally forget their previous portrayals & with success!
2. The Long-Term Tiff Between The Dadis
Portrayed with so much perfection, the typical Sautanapa relationship between Asma Abbas and Uzma Beg’s characters is definitely one of the strongest reasons you should be watching this show. Whether it’s a Shaadi, or any other household affair, Amma and Bebe are all set to compete with each other in high spirits. Their diversely different cultural backgrounds adds a laughable kick to their humorous fights and witty arguments.

It is not only their relation with each other (which is directed with genius), but their individual characters are also written much sensitivity, making them utterly life like – tell me if you didn’t catch a glimpse of your Dadis and Nanis in the frame, with a knowing nod of your head & a hint of a smile of course.
Special mention of the scene when Bebe asks Mirchi to bring her school bag and study, otherwise her father will accuse her for spoiling his daughter. How many of us caught whispers of our household as our grandmas are blamed for spoiling us.
3. The Groundbreaking Chemistry Between The New-Comers
Hashi is the new trend people are following on social media, originating from the adorable world of Mishi and Hadi played beautifully by Aymen Saleem and Arsalan Naseer.
It is almost impossible for supporting actors to prevail over the leads. At times, leaving a lasting impact on audiences becomes difficult because, either the supporting cast are not given that much screen time, or, their characters, or stories are not convincing enough to grasp the audience’s love & attention. However, Chupke Chupke is a new ball game entirely, we witnessed two young people making their debuts into the world of acting and completely stealing the show with standout appearances!
These two need no introduction, but we’ll do the formalities anyway!

Comics By Arsalan fame Arsalan Naseer made it to the small screen after being our favourite YouTuber for the longest time. Who knew that his acting will entertain us even more than his Spoofs? Alongside the very talented Aymen Saleem, who is also making her debut into acting, the two have hit it off like a top billing road show!
Aymen is the daughter of former cricketer Saleem Yousuf and niece of the queen of pop music (Late) Nazia Hassan. You would be surprised to know that Aymen had made it to the Guinness Book Of World Record at the tender age of 17.
Aymen’s portrayal of a one-sided crush who wants to express all but just can’t take the leap, is giving us super cute feels, while Hadi’s caring cousin nature who just doesn’t get it, is so hilariously convincing.
4. The Cool One-Liners That We Want More On TV
Saima Akram Chaudhry is ever-popular for her ability to write the perfect rom-com. Even after Suno Chanda, she penned several telefilms based on the same genre, including the recently released Teri Meri Kahani starring Haroon Kadwani and Sehar Khan. The ace writer ensures entertainment that tickles our funny bone yet, a relatably sensibly story line too. Because writing humor is not an easy job, audiences can feel a forced or nonsensical script, slapstick comedy is no longer ‘IN’, and that means only the best comedy will survive – yes, audiences will not settle for less!
Faiza Iftikhar does it with a smooth perfection, but Saima Akram’s style is winning hearts in Ramzan!
Whether its Meenu’s constant reminder of her uber coolness in an ultra uncool world, or Miskeen bhai’s miskeeniyat, fans are loving the cast blend of Chupke Chupke!

5. Miskeen Bhai’s miskeeniyat

Amma’s Meko Jeevan dy coming out of anxiety or Gul Aapa’s confidence on her Goli Ki Tarhaan Lagne Waali Badduaaien – we are cracking up on the post iftar comic relief!

6. An On-Point Direction Making It Your Perfect Chai-Partner
Good Storyline, Powerful Script, Good Direction, and Impactful Performances
These are some major elements that play a huge part in the success of a project. If any one aspect is lacking, it takes away from all the positive elements, making us question Whyyy!! The last season of Suno Chanda, despite having a powerful storyline, script, and performances, unfortunately, did carry a number of flaws in the direction.

Thankfully Chupke Chupke is such a well-directed project that we fail to find any major flaws, thus completing our experience of a good quality prime time drama watch! Directed by Danish Nawaz, whose Kashf is still in our hearts, Chupke Chupke is acing direction with minimal continuity issues and time frame errors that we often observe in our dramas.
7. The Ultimate Chilling Formula
After a busy and tiring day, a drama like Chupke Chupke is a great way to regain your energy while partaking of a light-hearted drama watch experience with your family. Also, a bit of advice, such dramas should not be limited to Ramzan alone.
A quality production would definitely make a delightful addition to our daily drama grind – why make us wait all year for a good laugh?
Very well explain all the facts. This drama is awesome and all characters have done justice ♥️
