Have you also stopped buying your favorite things due to Covid-19? If yes, then we can relate with you!

For almost two years now, Covid-19 has changed our lifestyle completely. People around the globe adapted habits that were never really an essential part of their daily life. Therefore, an immense transformation in the consumer’s buying priorities has occurred, has it happened with you too?
We give you the top five items that people find least useful to spend their money due to the pandemic!
1). Local Food Items

Street food is something every Pakistani used to enjoy at any time of the day. But due to covid-19, people have become very cautious about their consumption of food. The Covid-19 rapid infection rate rise has driven people to consume only healthy homemade meals for better immunity. Therefore, people have almost stopped buying food from street vendors to save themselves from the disease.
2). Formal Clothing

Due to the government announcing complete lock-downs because of Covid-19 every few months, people have started working from home completely. Working from home means not dressing up formally everyday to walk into work. Therefore, people have nearly stopped buying formal clothes and manage to stay in casuals as comfort takes priority all day. Of course, lounge pants might have made a comeback as a clothing essential, and you don’t need to ask us why!
3). Cosmetic Items

Ever since Covid-19 entered all of ours lives, we are restricted to wearing a mask. Moreover, we are supposed to stay home and only step out in case of emergencies. All these preventive measures have created a huge lifestyle change in women’s makeup routines all over the globe. Therefore, women no longer buy as much cosmetic products because they know mask will cover their faces eventually, especially lipsticks! Eye makeup might have seen a rise (surprise, surprise – the only part of your face that’s visible from behind the mask), and even then, phone and laptop filters can hide most imperfections!
4). Traveling Accessories

Who doesn’t love to have a vacation from their daily routine? But due to Covid-19, it’s been almost two years since people have had to stay safe and in their homes. Therefore, traveling is banned in most parts of the world due to strict preventive measures. Hence, people are not buying traveling accessories because they are (mostly) visiting the nearest grocery store, ummm, do you need a suitcase for that?
5). Celebration Items & Home Decor

The government has banned all types of celebrations that include large gatherings of people due to the contagious spread of Covid-19. Hence, people are advised to stay home with their close family only and avoid unnecessary contact with others. Therefore, people are not buying items to dress up their homes. That new bedspread can wait, or the dining table doesn’t need new mats – because hosting guests is not on the cards for now.
But the question that arises in our minds is: “Is this a lifestyle change or just a fleeting trend?”
