Srha Asgr and Haroon Shahid are changing the Pakistani Drama game, one drama at a time! By opting for thought provoking content, positive roles delivered with deep sensitivity, they are taking on the challenge to battle the TRP game in showbiz – yes, everything is not about views, they say – content is king! In an exclusive interview with FUCHSIA, they tell us about their previous roles and their experience with playing ‘Saim’ and ‘Fajar’ in their latest project, Aakhir Kab Tak.
1. Haroon On Aakhir Kab Tak Views

“It is wrong to judge any content’s worth by its views”
-Haroon SHahid
According to Haroon Shahid, a lot of the content’s value is judged by its views which he thinks is a shallow way to judge any type of content. Fewer views do not necessarily determine if the content is worthy of watching or not.
‘Aakhir Kab Tak is probably the only drama I can go around telling people I was a part of, because we’re making a difference and highlighting something significant. For me, it’s a success and I am glad I am a part of it,’ he added.
2. Srha Tells Us How She Prepared For Fajar

Srha told us that the director asked her to read the script first, which she read in 4 days, and went to discuss it. Then, he asked her to watch Freud which she thought was quite an intense show. She went back again to discuss it.
He then asked her to watch The Alienist and after they had their discussion, he asked her to write down Fajar’s characteristics and make a connection with Fajar.
She went on to say, “then on the next visit, he asked me to prepare 3 scenes of Fajar. The next time I went he asked me to show what I had prepared and I did the scene in which Fajar tells her mother about the harassment for the first time. At that point, he’s like okay fine now let’s meet outside. So that’s how it started.”
3. Haroon Talks About Srha

“Everyone warned me about Srha’s shriek”
-haroon shahid
Haroon said, “I was like I don’t know what they’re saying. Some of my actual expressions were even caught on camera. I was wondering what it is, man… Oh, shoot!. But yeah Srha’s shriek.”
4. Haroon On His Character ‘Saim’

“Everyone is technically Saim”
-haroon shahid
Haroon while talking about his character, said that he doesn’t think he is ‘Saim’ because our society is built in a certain way. He added, “our society and the mindset of people plays a huge role in modelling a person’s behaviour. I don’t think any person would be like that from the inside, that they wake up one day choose what is ‘gherat’ and what isn’t. All of these things are external. You get it from outside. That’s why you react in this way.”
“Therefore, every man can be a Saim if that man can manage the external peer pressure,” he added.
5. Srha Praises Ushna

I am glad Ushna is doing Noor’s character.
-Srha asghr
Srha thinks Ushna is a very natural actor.
Srha said that she found Noor’s character very strong when she read it. “Ushna played Noor’s character very differently. She didn’t shout and replied to everyone in a very subtle way,” Srha added.
6. Haroon Sings A Song Hinting Towards Aakhir Kab Tak’s Story Ahead
Na Kaha Na Sunna Na Atta Na Patta
Chal deya Kahan Kuch Toh Batao.
-haroon shahid
It’s an original song. He says that this is going to be everyone’s question and to some extent, Saim’s as well about Fajar.
This is going to be in the story at some point. This song was never released in fact there are so many songs that were never released.
