Though the song is not new, it has been rendered a new feel by Asrar Shah & Majid Raza that is refreshingly uplifting, soul-stirring & definitely more moving than anything we’ve listened to in a while.
Asrar Shah’s intense vocals cast a spell & capture your heart instantly. In fact, listening to him singing this song is an experience in itself – patriotic emotions tug at your heart, making you tear up.
The song carries an old world feel, yet the music has been tweaked ever so subtly to create a slightly modern feel.
“Hum Laye Hain Toofan Sey Kashti Nikal Ke” is an old song sung by both Muhammad Rafi in India back in 1954 as well as Saleem Raza in 1957 in Pakistan. The Pakistani version has slightly different lyrics from the one sung by Rafi Shahab. However, this is one song igniting national ferrour that echoed in every Pakistani household back in the ’60s and ’70s.
About The Film
Khel Khel Mein is the brainchild of the insanely talented director/producer duo Nabeel Qureshi and Fiza Ali Meerza. After giving us films like Load Wedding & Actor in Law, their new film Khel Khel Mein has our hopes up!
The story is based on true historic events of 1971 and the Dhaka fall. It stars the uber-talented duo Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas along with an ensemble cast and lots of new faces. We are also expecting cameos from Shehryar Munawar and Ali Zafar.
Are you excited to finally watch a Pakistani movie in a cinema?
