Would Mehroo & Maahir really fall for each other if it wasn’t for everyone around them labeling their relationship as an affair, which is, right now, nothing but a heart-warming friendship? Dobara continues to jolt our thoughts & ask us to face the biases within us.

What we love most is the fact that Mehroo & Maahir are not thinking about each other in a romantic way at all. The natural progression of events between them, eventually leading to a deep friendship & maybe love, makes the story so heart-warming & loveable.
Is A Mother Allowed To Choose Her Own Happiness For Once?

Maahir’s words to Affaan, that he understands the significance of a mother to her children, evoked deep respect for his character. He was able to understand the pain because he himself had been a victim of negligence by his own mother.
That’s the beauty of this script – it is showing how a child who has been deprived of his mother’s presence, can carry scars even when he’s grown up.
Dobara is also making us question if a mother should take a decision for her own happiness even if it will affect her children.
Mehroo watching the three people in her life eating dinner without her was such a hard-hitting moment for her & maybe, for all of us… a stark reminder of how life goes on sometimes, children move on, and mothers are left standing alone.
Minal Is Winning Our Hearts

Minaal is love! Her support for her mother is so uplifting, but will she continue to support her should Mehroo decide to marry Maahir?
Are We Being Too Hard On Affan?

Is Affan’s reaction justified? Are we expecting too much from a son who is a young man & has always considered Mehroo only as a mom & is now finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact that she can be anything but his mom? Plus Mehroo has never explained her feelings to him … should she?
Zameer…We Are Watching You!

So Zameer has successfully implemented the first of his schemes. We do wish they had shown Mehroo taking some interest in the business. Now we wait till Maahir enters her life & gives a danda to Zameer.
We Noticed Some Slips
On a lighter note, three things that could have been handled a bit better:
Why was Zameer working with his laptop perched on the roof of the car when there was a table nearby which he did use later?
Mehroo jee, we love you, but ek din mein garee chalana, woh bhi itnay achay sey zara mushkil hai. Maahir ney kiya trick batai, humain bhi bataain 🙂
Did you find it strange for the shadee arrangement guy to hand out information about the bride & bridegroom to a random passerby ya aisa hota hai?
