“Shohar hota hai toh beta aur damad aatay hain” – And Maahir keeps making us laugh out loud.

We’re Loving Maahir & Mehroo’s Relationship!

A delightful episode as Mahir & Mehroo continue their journey amidst doubts, friendship, facing the world & maybe, moving towards love. It is nice, refreshing & maybe more relatable to see that the drama is keeping it real.
Both Maahir & Mehroo are aware of themselves, the reality of their relationship, which is a ‘need’ and not ‘love’ for them both, and proceeding accordingly – with respect and care for each other.
Nayyara jee, we love you for being such a positive person & being the voice that is challenging the limited, narrow-minded thinking & reactions of society. We all want a Nayyara in our lives!
Are Maahir’s Intentions Pure?
Are you doubting Maahir’s intentions? Are we all representing the society who, even before the relationship has had time to settle in, expect it to fail? Just like Mehroo quoted phuppo as saying: “Meray ghalat faislay kay buray anjaam ka intezaar”.
How will Maahir deal with Zameer, that is something we are all curious about. Knowing him, he will not let Zameer get away with it.
“Minal aur Affan bhi apni Zindagi mein busy hain, agar tum meree zindagi mein na hotay toh mein kiya kertee Maahir”. The drama highlights the loneliness many single mothers face (even unmarried) who, at this stage of life, need a companion.
“Larka Bohat young aur handsome hai”. Though the ladies are gossiping & condemning Mehroo’s actions, they are also envious of her decision to marry Maahir.
“Dhoka hi khana hai to dhoka dil faraib to ho”. We hope & pray aap dhoka na hon, Maahir jee. Aap bus dil faraib hi rahiyay 😉
“Bohat handsome lag reha hai aap ka beta”. Well, after serving up a dose of softer moments, the drama is ready to dive deeper & directly into more harsh realities & public reactions that such couples face.
We look forward to seeing how the script will handle these responses & the direction it will guide us in.
