1. Taking It From The Top

To start off, Atif Aslam had no intention of joining showbiz. In fact, he was an athlete aspiring to become a cricketer one day. But during college, one thing led to another, he participated in events and that’s where this journey started.
2. ‘Aadat’ Became A Hit

Atif started his career with the band Jal, alongside Gohar Mumtaz. Atif was the lead vocalist of the group and their song ‘Aadat‘ became a mega hit and from there onwards, there was no looking back!
3. Stepping Into Bollywood

Bollywood is no joke. Whether it’s actors, dancers, comedians or singers, they have all made their mark. Making your entry and making a name for yourself in that industry is no mean feat. But for Atif, it was a piece of cake.
He gave us the evergreen, Pehli Nazar Mein for Race in 2018 and in 2009 lent his vocals to two songs for Ranbir Kapoor’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. How’s that!

The ‘Dil Diyyan Gallan‘ singer, recorded ‘Mori Araj Suno’ and ‘Bol Ke Lab Aazad Hain’ for The Reluctant Fundamentalist in 2012.
Fun fact: ‘Aadat‘ was featured in Man Push Cart (2005). He surely is adored worldwide and we love it! Representing our country on a bigger scale!
5. Stepping Into Acting

If you’re thinking Sang-e-Mah is his first project or his debut acting project, then my fellow fan, you’re wrong. The ‘Jeena Jeena‘ singer made his stepped into the acting world with the 2011 film ‘Bol,’ costarring Mahira Khan. Find yourself listening to Hona Tha Pyar just like me? That’s the film is song this from and we’re still humming it!
Now we see Atif nailing the multilayered Hilmand in Sang-e-Mah, and doing total justice to it. He made us feel the character was tailored for him.
