Surf Excel collaborated with Indus Hospital to bring khushiyon ka sadqa for kids through an Eid Bazar. Because of their medical condition & treatment, these children cannot go out shopping, so Indus Hospital and Surf Excel specially organized an Eid Bazar at the hospital where the children could come and shop for things (free of cost) that they loved – from choorian to shoes. Team FUCHSIA became part of this initiative by spending some time with these kids and helping them with their shopping. Sometimes a little time from you can make a huge difference in someone’s life.

Khushyion Ka Sadqa is an initiative by Surf Excel Pakistan and Indus Hospital to bring a smile to the young hearts at the hospital’s oncology ward. There are 35 children in the ward and more who visit the hospital’s daycare facilities every day and avail of cancer treatment. Some have recovered in good health & some are still fighting the battle.

Inside The Eid Bazaar

They love playing PUBG and football, watching Salman Khan, and eating popcorn. Their resilience is heart-touching. Their smiles at getting to pick the Eid kurta of their choice – sunglasses, Spiderman wallets, bangles, a bag of popcorn & other goodies were both humbling and infectious at the same time. The Eid bazaar was put up free of cost & well worth the smiles we witnessed firsthand.

What It Taught Us

More importantly, it showed us that we need to step out and help others fight a tough battle, not only for them but also for us. The rewards we get are enormous. More than just writing out a cheque or giving charity.

Don’t ask God what he did for THEM – Ask yourselves the reason he gave them YOU? That is HIS way of helping them. You can be the vessel through which his blessings will flow to them.

Giving out charity in the form of happiness – That is what Khushiyon Ka Sadqa is all about. When you do something for others, you are actually doing it for yourself. Those fighting a storm have Allah by their side, and Allah has decided to give them you to help them through these tough times – The rewards you get in return are limitless.

So make a pledge today to push your boundaries, step up, step out and help someone who needs you. You will be surprised at how much you needed to do this – for your heart & soul.

The Eid Bazaar is on over the weekend. So if you’re in Karachi, hop on over and spread the joy!
