Last night, Mere Humsafar had its avid viewers rooting for Hala, for finally speaking up and not giving in to her fears. She said out loud that she will not be silenced. Hania Amir’s performance was outstanding, part of the reason why fans think the episode belonged to her character, Hala.

Witnessing her character growth from being a shy, scared, timid girl to someone who finally stands her ground in front of her husband, fans turned to Twitter to vouch for Hala! Here is how they are reacting:
Way To Go Hala!
““Nahi mangu gy maafi” “Apni baat par qaim rahu gy” That’s my girl!!! That’s how it should be!!”
“she is so done 😭”
“hala, finally spoke god damnit and HOW!!!! hania was soo good ohmygod 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻”
“Okay but this is the real strong Hala, fighting not only SJ but also Hamza all alone. We love this growth. We love it! #MereHumsafar“
“today’s episode belonged to hania, she absolutely nailed it. the scene where she confronted hamza was so good, it literally gave me chills. hania as hala has been amazing and how convincingly she has portrayed hala, her trauma, her fear and the growth in her char”
“MereHumsafar to be honest I was dreading today’s episode BUT it was not bad at all in terms of character growth and in terms of progression. @realhaniahehe
you totally nailed it Applause 👏👏”
Do You Agree?
“Hala you go girl and say what you wanna say. Though I feel that by now you should tell Hamza the truth because if he is asking you then it’s your responsibility as a partner to tell him that you did had a liking for someone and that’s about it.”
Kudos For Removing The Slap Scene!
“Am I a minority who liked today’s #MereHumsafar n didn’t find anything out of the line. Glad they chose to edit almost slap scene n pointed out how use of force is actually taking advantage of one’s strength over a vulnerable person.”
Hamza Disappoints!
“Hala being so strong throughout the episode is something I ADORE. Hamza hate might start now because bro you think your mom can’t hurt your child but Hala will kill HER baby? WTH? Last scene was a disappointment. Hala’s silence will again cause her problems now ugh”
“sharam toh tumhe aani chahiye hamza! this was such a low comment. and hamza janaab if u think she’s wrong for accusing your mom how is YOU accusing her of the same thing fine? if u believe your mom cant harm her and the baby bc she’s your mom then how can hala?”
“I’m sorry hamza, you need to respect your wife and listen to her. This marriage was your decision. After marrying her, she’s your responsibility. You weren’t supposed to react like this. Didn’t expect this from you, you broke our hearts😭💔”
“Chopping a scene doesn’t make the narrative, accusations, bullying, threatening stance any more agreeable. He believes his mother wouldn’t hurt his child but Hala would hurt her child. Now if I say typical desi husband, it’s a generalisation? So I’ll say nothing”
It’s definitely praiseworthy how the makers of Mere Humsafar have shown Hala’s character growth however we can’t help but feel a little disheartened by Hamza’s reaction. Shouldn’t he be the first person standing by Hala especially when she’s going through a difficult time? Wait for our review on last night’s episode!
