Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad trailer just dropped and so did our jaws!

The much-awaited trailer of Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad just released starring Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa. The film is all set to release on Eid-ul-Adha.
One thing the trailer does promise is action, action, and more action, but with strong underlying messages! Talk about putting in use the two top-notch actors of our industry and Fizza Ali and Nabeel Qureshi have attempted to do just that! The duo of Fizza and Nabeel has returned with a bang after the release of ‘Khel Khel Mein‘. They have managed to continue the trademark of sending out a social message in their films and QAZ is no different. The movie tackles the relevant topic in today’s time of corruption which needless to say requires our dire attention and needs to be much discussed.
We spot a playful, (yet mean business) Mahira Khan and a police officer with a swag aka Fahad Mustafa- both actors look just the part in the trailer. Fahad Mustafa seems to be playing the role of an amoral and shoddy police officer and right off the bat, he connects with his audience! In a cop’s attire, Fahad is rocking the trucker jacket and might just start a new trend amongst guys. Police walas might get a much-needed personal image (and face) lift especially if they can style themselves like Fahad in Quaid e Azam Zindabad ahem, those biceps? As for Mahira, she is set to play all superwoman-like in a rocking new role – Pepper spray in hand and vibing to full action mode is what’s gonna give us a treat in the cinemas!

On To The Trailer Launch!
And a surprise for all Mahira fans awaits as she revealed in the trailer launch that for a song she had to play with animals including lions, hamsters, rabbits, and snakes (Many wondered about the significance of lions in the film!)
Fahad and Mahira’s chemistry is setting the screen on fire and as we await the release of the film, we are elated to see a fresh new pair on the silver screen – A shady police officer and a social activist…will the plot hit the box office on the right notes? That’s a million dollar question, which only audiences will be able to tell.
Alongside Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa, we saw Jawed Sheikh, (playing a constable with a difference), Nayyar Ejaz and Mehmood Aslam as part of the ensemble cast.
The film appears larger than life and it seems from the sequences that a hefty budget has been put to good use. We see the use of VFX, action sequences, and even shots of a fighting sequence in a plane. Our expectations just went up a notch!
At The Trailer Launch
The trailer of Quaid e Azam Zindabad was released at a trailer launch in Karachi. Alongside the cast and the team of the film, some members of the film fraternity and many notable journalists were present.
The producer, Fizza Ali was very enthusiastic about the plot of the film and had this to say:
Fizza Ali
“Corruption is spreading like cancer and I feel like we are in the third stage. It is high time we talk about it. We have tried to give the message in a lighter tone such that people try to reflect how they are also somewhere involved in such activities and if we want we can try to deter from them.”
Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan were all praises for each other.

Fahad thinks that QAZ is the biggest and the best film he has done in his career:
Fahad Mustafa
“Mahira and I couldn’t work together before as sometimes she would say no to a project and sometimes I would. But I think eventually we had to do this one together and I feel Quaid e Azam Zindabad is the biggest film of my career. I think Mahira and I look together.”
At one point Fahad playfully said:
“I thank Mahira for working with me. From working with Shahrukh Khan and then with me, I feel sad for her because of this.”
Fahad Mustafa
When Mahira was asked to draw parallels between Shahrukh Khan and Fahad Mustafa, this is what she had to say:
“Just the way Shahrukh Khan is able to learn his dance steps quickly and perform really well without much practice so can Fahad Mustafa.”
Mahira Khan
About the storyline, Mahira had to say:
“I signed this film because of the story. We watched this movie over the weekend and I got goosebumps watching some scenes. I don’t think the movie could be more relevant than it is at this point in time.”
Mahira Khan
Mahira said she would do a small role if…
“I have always been proud that I carry my films but now for me the new phrase is that everyone carries the film. I would do a small role in a good film because I think story is important. I am happy to be Jennifer Connelly to my Tom Cruise. “
Mahira Khan
The director, Nabeel Qureshi talked about Jawed Sheikh and his role in the film.
Nabeel Qureshi
“He has a very important role. I can’t reveal much about it now but he will be playing the role of a Sindhi constable. Hopefully you will like his role so much that you will forget his character in Na Maloom Afrood.”
Mark the date as we await the film to release. Expectations are high on this one, what about you?
