HUM TV Set The Seal On New Drama Kala Doriya And Here’s What We Know So Far!
HUM TV has a new project lined up and the drama will be produced by Momina Duraid Productions. But, what else do we know about it? Let’s dive straight into the details!
The Writer
The drama serial has been penned by none other than ‘Hum Tum’ writer Saima Akram Chaudhry. Saima Akram is known for her Ramzan plays including ‘Suno Chanda’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Ishq Jalebi’, ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Chaudhry and Sons’. The writer is known for penning down family oriented, light-hearted scripts. Will ‘Kala Doriya’ follow the same format? Well, we will have to wait to get the answers!

The Director
The drama is going to be directed by none other than Danish Nawaz whose most recent project was ‘Dobara‘. He has also directed dramas such as Chupke Chupke, Hum Tum among others. We’re excited to see his magic again!
The Cast
The cast of the drama went through several changes. Prominent names were on the list, but alas, there were multiple changes. However, we have a final list cast list (we hope it is final)! We will be seeing Sana Javed, Osman Khalid Butt as the leads. Nadia Afgan, Samina Ahmad, Farhan Ally Agha, Ali Safina, Sohail Sameer are also part of the cast along with others.
Several rumors surrounded the choice of the male lead, however, things could not work out and multiple rumours did the rounds. In the end, Osman Khalid Butt has been roped in and we are over the moon to see Osman back on screen after a hiatus!

Release Date
We don’t have a confirmed date as of now, but according to the writer Saima Akram the drama is likely to air in the months of September or October.
Unfortunately, the genre of the drama is still under wraps and no teaser has been released yet. Nevertheless, due to its star studded cast. Saima Akram’s writing and Danish Nawaz’s direction, our hopes are already high!
