FUCHSIA knows you’re perplexed about what to do over the weekend. To rid you of ennui, we’ve got a list of recommendations that are sure to keep you occupied and entertained. Read on to find out what we’ve got for you this week!

FUCHSIA’s Got Your Weekend Sorted!

FUCHSIA Recommends You Binge It: If you haven’t watched the first two seasons of ‘Never Have I Ever’ on Netflix then you’re missing out, big time! Not only does the show offer much-needed South-Asian representation, but it’s also peak coming-of-age comedy with a great supporting cast! The first two seasons of the show were spent with our main lead, Devi, trying to sort out her love life – with the audience caught between #TeamPaxton and #TeamBen. Season 3 does a complete 180 and brings in a new love interest and more intrigue! Will Devi finally find love? Or will it all crash and burn? You’ll have to watch to find out!

FUCHSIA Recommends You Watch It: ‘Senior Year’ starring Rebel Wilson walks the fine line between comedy and romance and is just the movie you need to watch this summer! The movie begins with Stephanie who wakes up after a 20-year coma. Before her decades-long slumber, Stephanie had it all! She was head cheerleader and on her way to becoming prom queen, that is, until she had her freak accident that put her life on hold. Though it’s been 20 years and a lot has changed since 2002, Stephanie is set to reclaim her life and live lost experiences. Does a 37-year-old have what it takes to become prom queen? Or will the culture clash cause her to go back into her shell? Guess it’s time to find out!

FUCHSIA Recommends You Read It: ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ is the first book in the Summer Trilogy by Jenny Han. The book takes us on a journey where Belly (actual name Isabel) makes an attempt at navigating life and pulls a Mia Thermopolis (the drab to fab makeover in the Princess Diaries, but in this case, it’s just puberty) before heading over to their family friend’s beach house for the summer. The book is equal parts love triangle and equal parts ‘WHAT IS GOING ONN!!?’. There’s an unexpected love interest at the end and even a secret that might unravel their peaceful bliss, but you’ll have to read the book and find out what it is 😉
