Jemima Goldsmith is using her social media influence to urge people to donate and assist flood victims in Pakistan.

Jemima Goldsmith, floods in Pakistan

Pakistan is in the midst of catastrophic flooding that has wreaked havoc across Sindh, Balochistan, and KPK. Around 11 million children have been affected, more than 682,000 houses have been lost and families have been sleeping under the sky. Countless organizations and NGOs have stepped forward to collect relief funds in the form of money, clothing, food, sanitary pads, etc.

While Pakistanis across the country are doing their part as much as possible, overseas Pakistanis have also taken the initiative to help flood victims in any way they can. However, this concern isn’t just limited to Pakistanis. Jemima Goldsmith, film producer and the ex-wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan who is also widely loved across Pakistan is also using her Twitter handle to raise awareness regarding the flooding in Pakistan.

Jemima has been actively tweeting about the floods and urging people to donate as much as possible. With 3.5 million followers on Twitter, her voice is reaching a vast number of people, not just Pakistanis but people living abroad as well. During this current climate crisis, it is imperative for well-known personalities to make use of their influence and help Pakistan get back on its feet.

Jemima Sheds Light On The Devastating Floods In Pakistan

“🙏🏼 for the 33 million in Pakistan affected by the devastating floods.

1000+ killed.
200K+ homes destroyed

Pakistan produces less than 1% of global carbon emissions.

But it’s one of the top 10 countries most affected by the climate crisis.”
