Hira Mani Joins Hands With Indus Hospital To Raise Funds For Flood Victims

While Pakistani celebrities were getting backlash for attending the Hum Awards in Toronto and not doing enough for flood relief, we feel the flood relief efforts by Hira Mani and her Husband Mani are a breath of fresh air and are worth sharing. Read on to know the details.

Actress Hira Mani and her husband Mani have collaborated with Indus Hospital to raise funds for flood relief in Pakistan. They are currently on a US tour and have visited 8 cities till now, collecting funds for the flood affectees. The couple has collected around $2 million from the 8 cities they visited while 8 more cities are still left, the actress told Dawn Images.

Feeling overwhelmed by the contributions of overseas Pakistanis, she told the publication,

This is my reward that I got from the people sitting in front of me, the overseas Pakistanis, and I will take this reward for the people of Pakistan who are currently going through a difficult time

While announcing her tour to the US in a heartfelt video she posted on her Instagram this month, Hira Mani stated that Pakistan is facing one of the biggest humanitarian crises in these past 10 years.

We are the only hope the flood victims have

Just like the Pakistanis were united in their mission to help the earthquake victims in 2005, Hira Mani wants Pakistani to bring that zeal once again to help the flood affectees in Pakistan.

The actress has joined hands with the Indus Hospital to set up more medical camps to treat those in need. So far, the hospital’s camps have treated thousands of affected patients and hopes to expand their network through our help.

The couple along with Indus Hospital has thus far collected funds from cities including  Detroit, North Carolina, Atlanta, St.Louis, San Antonio, Austin, Chicago, and Minneapolis. Their next stops are Dallas, Columbus, New Jersey, St. Clarita – North LA, Portland, Tampa, Orlando, Boston, and San Francisco.
