National Anthem woes! This is not the first time that the Pakistani national anthem has been rendered in a different spirit. So why all the fuss? Farhan Saeed, Aijaz Aslam, Sajal Aly, and Adnan Siddiqui share their POV and frankly, we don’t see any reason to not like the National Anthem rendition, presumably in question from the latest LSA with Shehzad Roy and Wahab Bugti delivering a creative version.

On Friday, Adnan Siddiqui took to his Instagram to ask a question about the national anthem. His question was regarding the performance of the national anthem on Thursday night at the Lux Style Awards by Shehzad Roy and Wahab Bugti. He disapproved of the musical composition’s creative liberties, which included the usage of traditional instruments as opposed to the customary ones for the national anthem.
Shortly after the veteran actor’s post went viral, Sajal Aly gave her two cents on the debate. In a series of Instagram Stories, the Yaqeen Ka Safar actor emphasized how the “rendition” of the anthem is “inclusive of historically marginalized groups” and is a much more patriotic deed because it embodies the concepts of love and unity.

She then posted a post on Instagram highlighting how she found diversity reflected in the rendition beautiful.
Siddiqui’s next story read: “In simple English, I did NOT mention either the artists or their ethnicity. Why stoke unnecessary controversy when there is none? Peace out.”
However, the debate didn’t end there. Farhan Saeed came out to express his disagreement saying that there is no need to add more things to Pakistan’s not to do list.

While the two actors disagreed, Pakistani actor, Aijaz Aslam came out in support of Adnan’s stance, He resorted to Twitter to say that Siddiqui had a valid point.
