iDreams Production is all set to release a mega project in the making that will be a game-changer for the drama industry in 2023. Titled “Sar-e-Raah”, the story aims to break stereotypes by addressing issues like the rights of the intersex community, gender equality, women empowerment, and even infertility.

The drama is written by Adeel Razzak and is directed by Ahmed Bhatti. A stellar casting coup will be seen in the story with stars including Saba Qamar, Muneeb Butt, Hareem Farooq, and Sunita Marshal Saboor Aly in pivotal roles.
Five Stories That Will Be An Eye-Opener
The most ground-breaking character in the drama will be essayed by Muneeb Butt as Sarang. An intersex in the story who has done CSS, Sarang’s plot will highlight the struggle of the intersex community to make a name in society.
Saba Qamar will don the role of a young Karachiite, Rania. We will see her as a bold, strong woman who doesn’t give up easily on her goals. She will play the role of a female taxi driver who aims to make ends meet to provide for her family after her father’s death.
We will see Saboor Aly in a different avatar as a young girl Rameen who is a TikTok influencer. Her character will entail the good and the bad of being in the social media limelight. There is also a doctor in the story – a gynecologist, Dr. Muzna, essayed by Sunita Marshal. Her character will empower all the female students in Pakistan, who want to pursue medicine even after they get married. Hareem Farooq will be seen as Mariam- a working woman who climbs the corporate ladder through her hard work and struggle.
It is apparent from the list of characters that ‘ Sar-e-Raah’ will unfold a plethora of societal issues that will shed light on certain taboos in our society. Most importantly, it will fuel the women’s empowerment movement in Pakistan.
The release date of the story is still undercover. However, we are excited to see the unconventional cast work their magic on the screen.
