What do Peshawer Zalmi & Esra Bilgic have in common? Pakistanis love them both and now they might be coming together in the next PSL!
Javed Afridi, the chairman of Peshawar Zalmi of Pakistan Super League, recently tweeted about the possibility of having Esra Bilgic, a Turkish actor from Ertugrul, as a potential brand ambassador of Peshawar Zalmi.

Aired on the directives of the Prime Minister Imran Khan, Dirilis: Ertugrul is a Turkish drama that continues to be one of the most-watched series among Pakistanis. Now, it seems like the name is really making itself at home as Esra Bilgic herself, the famous Halime Sultan, hinted more about what might be the biggest Pak-Turk collaboration in the upcoming years.
After this “good-news” broke out, Pakistanis took to Twitter to express their excitement and ecstasy.
While some fans are wondering about Turgut’s participation..
Pakistani cricket players are already impatient and waiting for the confirmation.
People are also giving suggestions about which other Ertugrul characters could be chosen as brand ambassadors. One of them thinks that Sadettin Kopek or Noyan is a perfect fit for Islamabad United.
However, a few of them think that PSL should only be associated with local faces and are therefore questioning the point of involving foreign ambassadors.
Nonetheless, keeping this whole twitter frenzy aside, it has not been confirmed if Esra Bilgic IS Peshawar Zalmi’s ambassador; guess we’ll all have to sit and wait for any official statements.
