When Ghisi Piti Mohabbat sent us in fits of laughter over Naheed’s kitchen skills, little did we know we’d have craving for some real food. Home made chai paratha is desi comfort food at its best, but writer Faseeh Bari Khan turned it up a notch by naming a hard to find rarity in our kitchens – moong phalli ki chutney! Aur wo bhi taaza pissi huwi!
Oh well, we wouldn’t have it till we dug out a respectable recipe and here we have it for you! So turn on the heat this weekend, with this mouth-watering Moong Phalli ki Chutney! Make it tonight. Serving suggestion : Daal Chawal or paratha on the side!

A delicious fusion of mint and peanut will definitely make you crave for flavorful chutneys even more!
We’re here with Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat’s famous Naheed ki recipe & you can’t wait any longer for this!
INGREDIENTS For Peanut Chutney
1 cup raw, unsalted peanuts with skin
2 tbsp white sesame seeds
1/2 cup mint leaves, packed
2 green chillies
A small piece of tamarind
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
1 red chilli, halved
1/2 tsp split urad dal
Directions-Peanut Chutney
Dry roast the peanuts & sesame seeds in a pan until charred or browned. Heat 1 tsp oil in the same pan & add the green chillies, mint leaves, and some salt
Once cool, transfer the peanut mixture & mint leaves to a grinder & add a small piece of tamarind or 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp
Grind this to a smooth paste using water.
Heat the remaining 1 tsp oil & add the mustard seeds. When they pop, add red chilli, urad dal, & hing (asofetoeda)
When golden brown, add the ground chutney & mix well.
