Traditional Might be The New Normal When Fashion Hits Revival 2020 – Find out why it’s where the style is!
2020 didn’t have much to offer but it does leave us with comeback traditional dresses – revival is the name of the game this year and fashion has fallen in step. Whether it’s long kurtas, anarkali dresses, ghararas or shararas, everything seems to be back.
Designer Mona Imran, brings us colors and cuts for all moods, making each piece special and unique in its own way. Fashion missed old school glamour and we’re exhilarated to witness a rerun!
Something else has also revived over the year. Can you guess what it is?
Well, it’s jewelry! Not just any jewelry, but elegant & timeless traditional jewelry we all (being Pakistani’s) love so much. From the statement jhumkas, multi length haars & larees, teekas and so much more! It’s all for the taking, available online and in stores!

And now, the moment you’ve been waiting for… here’s Mashal Khan, wearing Mona Imran!
Shades of Teal

Yes that’s right, it’s shades of teal. To be more specific – two shades of teal. The gown and dupatta themselves are of a darker tone. the shirt under is a lighter and brighter, making the tillay ka kaam flowers pop!

The classic color match of teal and silver is a treat to the eye.
Usually gowns are either short or fitted. It’s so refreshing to see this authentic look which stands apart from the crowd!

The necklace is à la mode and gives out the Bvlgari Serpenti necklace vibes and we’re lovin’ it!
The jewelry is a perfect mix of East and West we never knew we needed, till we eyed them – and now it’s a now or never kinda love!
Redefine Elegance with Red and Gold

Elegance is redefined in 2020 and we’re so here for it!

The 90’s style seem to be back (please be here to stay!). This ravishing vermillion is absolutely breathtaking. The shape of the neck flawlessly fits in with the heavy choker Mashal’s wearing.

The jewelry carries a richly antique feel, and resembles something a Mughal Maharani or shehzadi would wear. So excited to see the old goldies making a comeback!
The Forever Shining White

Who hasn’t had a love affair with white, hasn’t loved at all – especially when it’s this alluring?

Sequin, rhinestones, silver tillay ka kaam completely elevate the look! The floral motifs on the sleeves and the back emit drama. We’re totally here for it!
A perfect gharara is every girl’s dream and clearly Mona has waved her magic wand and made our dreams come true. Just imagine dancing and twirling in this glamorous gharara!

Hey, can you spot the tranquil aquamarine in the dupatta? Mona gives us a solid reason to amp up our closets.

The chaandi necklace and rings take style up a notch but we can’t seem to get enough of these elegant, edgy earrings. What’s your take?
Minimalist Aesthetic

The outfit radiates such a calm and cool vibe. The beauty of this attire is the minimal work itself. You can wear it anywhere, be it a formal occasion, wedding or even Eid!

This attire gracefully balances classic charm and contemporary inspo, bringing to us the best of both worlds! Mona Imran brings to life this elegant shirt; from the colors to the sequins, everything is put together masterfully.
The traditional jewellery completes the look with the simple, yet chic necklace and earrings – giving a magically regal look!

Here’s a little secret: The rings are a statement piece in themselves which we are dying to get our hands on!
Which item will you be adding to your must have list?
A Dramatic Affair

WOW this ensemble brings back the classic look – somethings just never go out of style. From the color to the embroidery everything is on point!

The embroidery stands out bold and beautiful. The front of the kameez dazzled with the perfect balance of embellishment. The transition at the hem of the shirt, to the heavy tillay ka kaam is just breathtaking. The plain back scattered with sequins gives out an elegant vibe!

The jewelry is absolutely stunning. The rani haar (long necklace) in red stones is striking amidst the peachy attire. The choker is coming back into style and we couldn’t be more excited. Mashal is wearing Chandbali earrings which are lightly bedecked with red stones to go with the rani haar.
What makes this look stand out the most among the rest for sure has to be the nath (nose ring) – Throwback to Aishwarya Rai’s look in Jodha Akbar. What do you think?
So to sum it up, the return of the ghararas, gowns and lambi kameez really excites us. Ever since the traditional charm started to fade away, we’ve been wanting it back. Thank God we have that now!
