Pehli Si Mohabbat Delivers Us A Heady Love Story With A Heavy Chunk Of Reality

With 2 lukewarm episodes, Pehli Si Mohabbat upped its game with the latest offering, Some meaningful conversation there, and a Romeo-Juliet love story unfolds!

As young Rakshi & Aslam contemplate romance, the impending magni looms over them as well as brother Akram’s ‘usool’ about his neighbors.

At the same time, Faizullah’s wife is throwing out meaningful messages to all of us. “Mujhe kya pata shareef itne kam zarf hote hain“. Can no one try and begin their life anew?

On another note, we have a theory: Nargis might, just might help Rakhshi in her love story. Who knows, could she be a hero in disguise?

True shades of society

Faiza Iftikhar attempted once again, in true signature style, to show us the mirror when she referred to the neighbors’ hidden agenda & hypocrisies (kunda & apna business barhaana).

Faizullah’s dukaan ke gahak are no more, but Aslam’s heroic act of getting Faizullah to supply items to his friend so his business didn’t run dry, was a creative way of showing us that good might triumph over evil after all, or at least, that, where there’s a will, there’s a way! Although it also made us think, how two brothers can be so starkly different in character.

Notable Performances

Maya Ali endeared us with a super performance, especially when she talks to Aslam over the phone, the desi Juliet added a charm of her own, without making it seem cheesy or OTT.

Aslam revealed the selfishness & immaturity of young blood when they throw caution to the winds. Ishq mein mubtila aur mangni kisi aur se? Plus emotionally blackmailing Rakshi to meet him despite the danger – guess that’s what youth is all about, the tragic fall from grace is about to bring him reeling down in the upcoming episode, and we’re already feeling for him!

Acha, but what about privacy?

Lastly, why would you pass on your friend’s number to anyone, even if it’s your brother … girls, please heed another one’s privacy, you cannot assume it’s okay, because it’s not.

Also, why was Aslam not rebuked for supposedly calling his fiancée? And why would you call up the girl’s home before taking your own boy to task?

But then, isn’t it okay for an engaged couple to talk over the phone? You tell us, we’re just asking the questions.

Pehli Si Muhabbat going strong into the 4th. Episode!
