2. Saleem Meraj in Shehnai
It was a delight to catch Saleem Meraj in a comic role in Shehnai, & he played it with the utmost ease.
3. Nida Mumtaz in Shehnai
Nida Mumtaz as Bakht’s mother in Shehnai – the bahu who is trying to pacify everyone & keep the peace in susraal, attempting to save her daughter from getting a bad reputation. Her sober character amidst the rest of the comic roles definitely balances the story.
4. Affan Waheed in Shehnai
Affaan Waheed as Meerab in Shehnai. The lost, pareshaan aashiq who is forced into a mangni by his family.
5. Uzma Hassan in Pehli Si Mohabbat
Uzma Hassan as Zainab, aptly portrayed the wife who is totally devoid of any emotions for her husband, she was so convincing that we felt like shaking her into action!
6. Sheheryar Munawar in Pehli Si Mohabbat
Sheheryar Munawar as Aslam. The concerned bhai & the young aashiq, we felt Aslam’s pareshaani for his sister, a touching reflection of the sister-brother bond.
7. Maya Ali in Pehli Si Mohabbat
Maya Ali as Rakshi … uff that silent weeping on the staircase was just heart-wrenching. We felt Rakshi’s baybasi, her regret & her helplessness. Maya jee you own our heart
