Dilip Kumar was one of Bollywood’s finest actors who changed the acting game forever. Today, after his demise, thousands took to Twitter to share their sorrow and paid tribute to the late actor.

After a long battle with age-related illnesses, Dilip Kumar has left us all. The news was confirmed by his friend, Faisal Farooqui via Kumar’s Twitter account. Since the news, fans, friends and colleagues have paid tribute and recounted cherished memories online.
Early Works
Kumar started his career in 1944 with Jwar Bhata, produced by the Bombay Talkies. We later saw him in Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam and the mega-hit Mughal-E-Azam alongside Madhubala, a film with a budget of 15 million INR and which took 16 years to make. Kumar worked in the industry for more than fifty years and gave us many hits to remember him by.

There’s no denying that Dilip Kumar and our very own SRK had a close bond. Many called it the bond similar to that of a father and son. Shah Rukh also stated in an interview a while ago that Dilip Saab was his favourite inspiration.
The best way to remember and honor Dilip Kumar is by carrying forward his legacy, honor his art and hard work along with all he’s done over the years. Our deepest condolences to his wife, Saira Bano and we wish her all the power and strength during this rough time.
