Atif Aslam Will Make His Silver Screen Debut In ‘Sang-e-Mah’

According to Naumaan Ijaz, Atif Aslam will be starring in ‘Sang-e-mah’, which will be the sequel to the 2016 drama, ‘Sang-e-Mar’. The show will include other talented artists in its cast including, Zaviyar, Sania Saeed, Samiya Mumtaz, Kubra Khan and Hania Aamir. There had been rumours in the past about Atif Aslam’s involvement in the project, but both the singer and the production team of ‘Sang-e-Mah’ were tight-lipped about it and neither confirmed it nor denied it. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, we can’t wait to see what role Atif Aslam will be playing in the show. Bear in mind, this won’t be his first time acting. Atif Aslam previously starred in the crtitcally acclaimed movie ‘Bol’ (2011) alongside Mahira Khan and blew us away with his skill in character building and the nuances with which he adapted to his role. Paralympics Back With A Bang!
The Tokyo Paralympics began this week in Japan despite delays due to the pandemic. “Many doubted this day would happen, many thought it impossible, but thanks to the efforts of many, the most transformative sports event on Earth is about to begin,” stated International Paralympic Committee (IOC) president Andrew Parsons. The Paralympics will be a thirteen day event between 21 participating nations, with with 539 gold medals up for grabs across 22 sports. It is speculated that China will continue its gold-medal streak but Japan might just surprise us all after their phenomenal performance at the Olympics. Haider Ali and Anila Baig will represent Pakistan in the discus throw event. Anila will be seen in action on August 29 and Haider on September 3.
Naila Kiani First Pakistani Woman To Summit Gasherbrum II (8,035m)
After her 2018 viral video, Naila Kiani once again made the news after she became the first woman, alongside Sirbaz Khan and Ali Raza Sadpara to summit Gasherbrum II (8,035m). This is the first mountain she’s ever claimed and we are in awe. After training extensively for four months, Naila Kiani decided to push herself as far as she could go. After numoeous obstacles she finally made it to her destination-one of the 14 highest spots on Earth. “I couldn’t believe that I could’ve reached the top. It felt like a dream,” stated Naila in an interview with DAWN. Unbeknownest to her, she had set a National record and paved the way for more women to follow suit!
Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Highlight The Importance Of Women’s Rights In Pakistan After Multiple Instances Of Aggravated Violence Reported In The News

The PUC decided to observe Friday, the 27th of August, as ‘Youm-i-Haya’ in an attempt to highlight that giving respect and protecting women is an integral part of Islamic teachings.The participants decide that due to the rising cases of child molestation and incidents of harassment, clerics and religious scholars should condemn these acts in their Friday sermons as per the teachings of Shariah. Moreover, it was observed that all sections of society need to play an immediate role at their respective levels for the restoration of social and moral values.
Angelina Jolie Joins Instagarm To Share News Of Afghans With The World
As the socio-political landscape in Afghanistan begins to develop under the Taliban, Angelina Jolie has become the voice for Afghans fighting to have their voices heard. As a special envoy for the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency she has watched the people of Afghanistan flee their homes and be treated like burdens. “I was on the border of Afghanistan two weeks before 9/11, where I met Afghan refugees who had fled the Taliban. This was twenty years ago…It is sickening to watch Afghans being displaced yet again out of the fear and uncertainty that has gripped their country. To spend so much time and money, to have blood shed and lives lost only to come to this, is a failure almost impossible to understand…Like others who are committed, I will not turn away, I will continue to look for ways to help. And I hope you’ll join me,” vowed Jolie.
Will The New James Bond Movie Be Released In September?
The latest installment under the James Bond franchise, ‘No Time to Die’ is set to be released in late September after being delayed thrice because of the pandemic. However, with Covid-19 cases once again on the rise, there’s speculation that there might be another delay. The film cost an estimated $200 million to produce and will mark Daniel Craig’s last stint as the debonair Britsh secret agent. Scheduled news of the release ha fans excited and if all goes well, ‘No Time to Die’ might be the biggest blockbuster this fall.
