Pakistan’s renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan left us today.

Revered as a National Hero, he is credited for spearheading Pakistan’s nuclear program by building the first atomic bomb to enable the country to become a nuclear weapon state. His monumental vision & limitless services to the nation will be remembered always.

Condolences & tributes from all across the nation pour in:

Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted:

Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr A Q Khan. He was loved by our nation because of his critical contribution to making us a nuclear weapon state. This has provided us security against an aggressive much larger nuclear neighbour. For the people of Pakistan, he was a national icon.
