Masterminds Behind Bebasi!
It is scripted by Aliya Bukhari, who recently penned the very popular ‘Yun To Hai Pyar Bahot‘ & super hit serial ‘Deewar e Shab‘. Moreover, it is produced by Momina Duraid Production, which has never failed to give us refreshing content. Lastly, it is directed by Barkat Siddiqui of ‘Qarar‘ & ‘Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida.’

A little birdie told us that the lead actor in Bebasi are similar to ‘Laapata’ but the female lead is different this time! Yes, the dashing Ali Rehman Khan will be starring with the gorgeous Alizeh Shah from Ramzan play Taana Baana & Anoushay Abbasi of ‘Raqs e Bismil’ this time! Actors like Alizeh Shah, Khushhal Khan, Waseem Abbas, Shahgufta Ijaz, Javed Sheikh & Nausheen Shah are also a part of this project.

While talking To FUCHSIA on the red carpet of IPPA awards, Ali says Laapata’s Shaams is gone, but I am back on screen in Bebasi directed by Barkat Siddiqui. He discloses that he is starring alongside Alizeh Shah, which is very exciting. Moreover, he assures us that it’s a very different take than usual and thoda masledar play hai. He frankly explains that he hasn’t done masledar plays in a while as he was busy doing serious plays.
Is Bebasi Also About Miserable Women Like Every Other Drama?
With the teaser drop, we can sense the storyline of Bebasi is also similar to women who have been wronged and cheated on. Moreover, the dialogues seem to be cliched and old school. However, as we are aware that the author behind the story is Aliya Bukhari, we hope the plot catches our attention! The story might serve (hopefully) as awareness for the audience to understand some of the challenges women face. Also, since Ali Rehman says that it’s going to be masaledar content then we can hope that it just might be a ‘happening’ watch!
