Saboor Talks About Lack Of Chance For Diverse Roles In Drama Industry!
Saboor says that all actors are in search of good roles, so they can prove their acting skills. Moreover, she explains that ‘we can do so many good roles other than the ones we have already done but people think if an actor has done a negative or a positive role, they should be given a similar one again.’
Lastly, she says that every actor needs a good script and a good director, but fair auditions can help us a lot as well.
Saboor Aly Points Out Directors Favoring Their Favorite Actors!
Saboor claims that directors have already chosen their favorite actors, which is why most actors don’t get a chance. However, she states, ‘I will also say that whichever director we have worked with, was very good as well.’ And likewise, ‘working with them has given us enough success that we didn’t really need anybody else.’ Still, she says, if she had worked with other directors too, she would’ve been even more successful, but nevertheless, she is happy with where she stands now as well.
Saboor Aly Shed Light On The Gora Complex In Our Drama Industry!
Saboor says that there are many channels and production houses that have the ‘Gora Complex.’ It means that people prefer fair-colored skin actors over others. Furthermore, she explains that if an actor is fair, they get a lead role in the blink of an eye and others have to struggle a lot as actors. She further clarifies that this ‘Gora Complex’ still exists strongly, which is why whitening injection businesses are so popular these days.
Moreover, she says that no one really knows how long this complex will last. She states that she has seen actors being cast on this criteria even though most of them don’t know how to act. Yet, they are still preferred for big projects because they have fair skin tones. However, she thinks that those big projects could’ve been done a lot better by other actors had they gotten a chance.
