1. Kulsoom Aftab as Wife of Syed Sajjad Hussain in Khaab Toot Jaate Hain

It is a treat to watch Kulsoom on screen. Her delivery, accent & expressions are on point. The character is a fine blend of a woman depicting the sadness of the times.
2. Ehtishamuddin as VC Syed Sajjad Hussain in Khaab Toot Jaate Hain

Ehtishamuddin is giving us glimpses of a subtle, learned, peace loving individual who is caught in a much larger battle. We feel his helplessness, yet, the quiet courage of the character shines through in his narration of memoirs & subsequent onscreen performance – a thoroughly researched & well executed performance!
3. Major Samia Rehman as Platoon Leader Major Samia in Sinfe-e-Aahan

Major Samia blew us away with her no nonsense approach towards the girls. Her determined tone, controlled expressions & body language won hearts as she delivered her character so believably, not making it OTT and yet so impactful!
4. Kubra Khan as Mahjabeen in Sinfe-e-Aahan

Kubra Khan, you won hearts as Mahjabeen’s super confidence & enthusiasm took a hard fall. From the extra luggage & chewing gum, to the makeup, hair color & car – we felt you every time you had to call your parents!
5. Yumna Zaidi as Shaista in Sinfe-e-Aahan

Yumna you made us smile & laugh out loud. Shaista smiling subtly when she spotted the patthay ka ulloo, Shaista rearranging the book shelf, Shaista, not trusting Rabiya completely. Thank you for showing us the many layers to Shaista
6. Dananeer as Syeda Sidra in Sinfe-e-Aahan

Dananeer you added the spark to the episode. From dreaming about Aaloo gosht to having your room decor ideas shot down in one go, to spraying the bedsheets – you gave us comic relief in a heartfelt performance!
7. Zaviyar Noman Ijaz as Hikmat in Sang e Mah

Zaviyar gave us an appealing first look at Hikmat. He is playful, yet passionate, his accent was totally on point & we look forward to seeing more of him onscreen.
8. Hania Amir as Gulmina in Sang e Mah

Hania lit up the screen instantly. We loved Gulmina’s dare-devil vibe. Her chemistry with her mom & interactions with Hikmat were both a pleasure to watch. Well done Hania, carry on being Gulmina!
9. Atif Aslam as Hilmand in Sang-e-Mah

Atif has nailed Hilmand from first shot – he wears the malang, don’t care, attitude with full confidence & we enjoyed the intriguing character portrayal, sensing there is something much deeper that lies beneath.
10. Sania Saeed as Zarghuna in Sang-e-Mah

Sania Saeed nailed the strong woman role by a mile & a half! Zarghuna instilled fear, authority & a determined, courageous woman feel. Loving her interaction with Gulmina & looking forward to more ‘breaking the glass ceiling’ moments from her.
11. Samiya Mumtaz as Zarsanga in Sang-e-Mah

Samiya gave us a subtle blend of firm & gentle in Zarsanga. Her intense reaction to Hikmat’s love interest & Sabz Ali (ghag) made us sit up & take notice. This woman is not to be messed with & we got the feels instantly!
12. Wahaj Ali as Rumi in Jo Bichar Gaye

Wahaj Ali mirrored Rumi’s helplessness, anguish & torment in heartbreaking expressions. We felt his suffering & our heart goes out for his struggle, which is going to be very hard one.
13. Rana Majid as Captain Salahuddin in Jo Bichar Gaye

Rana Majid delivered a fine blend of gentleness (towards Farrukh) & uncompromising courage (as a soldier). Captain Salahuddin is winning hearts in a subtle yet impactful performance & we are fearing for his well-being in successive episodes.
14. Maya Ali as Sonia in Jo Bichar Gaye

Maya Ali beautifully portrayed her disbelief at the sudden turn of events. Her reaching out to Rumi & her panicked reaction to the revolt she saw coming earlier but was unable to control. We feel her torment across the screen. Well done Maya, we are rooting for you!
15. Feroze Khan as Mustajab in Aye Musht-e-Khaak

Feroze Khan continues to give off subtle shades as he switches from gentle lover to sharply narcissistic tendencies over the course of two episodes. His expressions when he discovered his mother’s faking her illness was especially notable. Mustajab has us successfully intrigued.
16. Ahmed Ali Akbar as Parizaad

Ahmed Ali Akbar portrayed intense tragedy, suspense & deep emotion in a tightly knitted, mind blowing performance. We desperately hoped for his chance at love, wept with him & then recoiled sharply as we questioned the intentions of the character we had madly fallen in love with. You have us fully invested in you Parizaad!
17. Sajal Aly as Shanaya in Ishq-e-Laa

Sajal Aly gave us a stellar performance as Shanaya. Her integrity, commitment to her work & relationships & her final leaving pulled at out heartstrings in speechless ways. Shanaya you will be missed more than you know!
18. Azaan Sami Khan as Azlaan in Ishq-e-Laa

Azaan aptly portrayed Azlaan’s pain which echoed throughout the episode. His helplessness, desperate turn to Faith, & subsequent anger & disbelief – the anguish was real!
19. Hadiqa Kiani as Mehru in Dobara

Hadiqa once again showed us the fine balance she’s capable of striking in Mehru. Young, courageous, yet mindful of being a mother first. Mehru’s tempered reactions & subtle expressions are giving us good for thought about women & mothers in every episode!
