Giving The Victim Benefit Of Doubt Is Important

Ayesha Omar

I will always give the victim the benefit of doubt, chahe woh mard hai ya aurat. Men are molested & harassed just as much as women and both by men & women.

Ayesha Omar

Ayesha says that there is a lot of shame attached to topics like harassment & molestation faced by people in our society. She believes that fear inhibits people from exposing molesters. However, she also points out that even in recent times when someone has spoken up, they have faced a lot of backlash & trauma. Nevertheless, she thinks talking to someone we can trust & people we think will help us heal is important.

Children Are Suppressed After Being Molested

Parents ko bachon k samne apni emotions ko control karna chahiye. If a child tells you something, be open, listen to it like a friend. Bache k samne aap yeh zahir na karen k tumhari ghalti hai kyun k phir bacha kabhi nahi batayega.

Ayesha Omar

Ayesha says despite their social or economical status, children are molested in ways one can’t imagine. Unfortunately, parents can’t be there all the time to protect their kids against such heinous acts. However, she believes that parents can develop a communicative connection with their children that is friendly & reassuring for them to talk about anything. She also talks about how parents show an immediate emotional response which discourages kids to express how they feel most of the time. Hence, parents need to be vigilant, calm & trustful while discussing these things with their children.

Setting Boundaries For Ourselves Is Essential

Aap ki boundaries aap ki boundaries hain. Apni boundaries ko state karen, chahe kisi ko acha lage ya bura.

Ayesha Omar

Ayesha shares a small incident that she faced as an actor with a very well-known celebrity in our industry. She states that he said something to her publicly which was humiliating so she confronted him later on a phone call. However, that person disrespectfully dismissed her without understanding the point, so she texted back & confronted him again for being disrespectful.

She believes that whenever you feel like someone is crossing a line, you should confront them in a civil manner and make sure they know you are not comfortable with their actions or words.

Age Doesn’t Matter When It Comes To Marriage

Ayesha Omar

If I feel that someone younger than me is a good life partner, us ki maturity is level ki hai k we can be partners together, I would definitely do it. No issues, age is just a number.

Ayesha Omar

Ayesha says that she thinks that chronological age doesn’t matter when it comes to choosing a life partner or falling in love. Maturity doesn’t always come with age. She explains that some people are mature despite their young age, but some may also turn out immature even though they are older. Ayesha believes there is nothing wrong in choosing a partner younger than you or older than you, despite our societal mindset of ‘log kya kahen gaye.’

Lastly, she says that in our society, it is hard to accept change, however, that shouldn’t stop you from doing something for yourself.
